Tracking messages in a mentoring environment
Tracking messages in a mentoring environment includes presenting to a reviewer a computer-based activity tracking form that is populated with data from an underlying relational database. The underlying relational database includes a content of e-mail messages addressed to an adult mentor and a content of e-mail messages addressed to a juvenile protégé. The underlying relational database also includes a status of e-mail messages between the adult mentor and juvenile protégé as determined by an e-mail interceptor. A status of an e-mail, between the adult mentor and the juvenile protégé, which has been intercepted by the e-mail monitor is displayed. In response to a displayed status indicating that the e-mail has not been reviewed, transmission of the e-mail to an intended recipient is blocked. In response to the displayed status indicating that the e-mail has been reviewed, transmission of the e-mail to the intended recipient is enabled.
System and method for providing centralized management and distribution of information to remote users
The invention includes systems, methods, and software applications for centrally maintaining information and automatically distributing relevant portions of the information to remote users. In one embodiment, a central server stores the information, which is maintained on the central server. Periodically, or each time the server information is updated, the server identifies the portion of the information that is relevant to each user and downloads the relevant portion of information to each user, for example to a mobile device such as a Blackberry™. The invention may be used to maintain and timely distribute information related to emergency response procedures, sales or servicing schedules, and delivery schedules, among other things.
Collaboration handoff
A collaboration handoff method for seamlessly passing a communication session between devices includes connecting a first device and a second device to enable communication between the first and second devices using an intermediary device to initiate a communication session. A request may be received from one of the first device and a third device to switch to the third device for communication with the second device. Communication session data for the first device may be identified at the intermediary device. The third device may be connected with the second device within the communication session and the communication session data may be transmitted to the third device.
Servicing group-based communication workspace add requests within a group-based communication system
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products for servicing a group-based communication workspace add request within a group-based communication system.
Electronic document annotation
Annotating a document in a data processing system, wherein the document includes a first content section and a data structure, can include receiving a request to annotate the document, wherein the request comprises an annotation, and an identification of the document to annotate, and creating a second content section comprising the annotation. The data structure can be updated with a reference to the second content section thereby making the second content section available as an annotation in association with the document.
Management for information communicated among end user communication devices
An exemplary method processes an electronic communication received by a first end-user communication device where the digital electronic communication is packet having a header segment and a user data segment conveyed to the first end-user communication device using one of a plurality of possible transport layer communication protocols. A determination is made whether the received user data segment contains a first label that identifies a corresponding module of an enhanced services application program stored in memory of the first end-user communication device. On determining that a first label is contained in the user data segment, routing the received user data segment to the first module of the first enhanced services application program regardless of which one of the plurality of possible transport layer communication protocols carried the electronic communication to the first end-user communication device. The received user data segment is processed by the first module and clear text information extracted from the user data segment is stored in the memory.
Intelligent conversational messaging
A system for implementing a computer-based assistance in a conversation can comprise determining an identification indication associated with a first participant in a conversation. The system can also comprise accessing, within a database, user information associated with the identification indication. The user information can comprise data relating to the first participant. Based upon the user information and one or more words communicated in the conversation, the system can include calculating one or more probabilities that the conversation is associated with one or more respective conversation types. Based upon a determined conversation type, the system can activate an expert agent in the conversation. The expert agent can comprise a virtual conversation participant that is associated with a goal. The system can also comprise executing a sequential lists of actions that are associated with the goal, wherein the list of actions comprises interactions with the first participant.
Facilitating the sending of multimedia as a message
One or more embodiments described herein include methods and systems of sending multimedia content items as electronic communications. More specifically, systems and methods described herein provide user the ability to easily and effectively select multimedia content items stored on a computing device for inclusion in a communication session without navigating away from the communication session. Additionally, systems and methods described herein provide a user the ability to edit multimedia content items for inclusion in the communication session.
Controller for transmitting information on machine or controller via e-mail
A controller that controls a machine detects an event that has occurred in the controller or the machine to compose and store event information that contains the event. Upon receiving an e-mail acquisition request from a terminal, the controller retrieves the stored event information, composes an e-mail that contains the event information, and transmits the e-mail directly to the terminal.
