Mattress cover for a mattress providing rotation therapy to a patient
A mattress cover for a mattress providing movement therapy to a patient. A patient support portion covers the upper surface of the mattress, and a bottom portion is coupled to the patient support portion. The mattress cover may substantially encase the mattress. An augmenting feature is associated with a peripheral portion with the augmenting feature adapted to move between a stored configuration, and a deployed configuration in response to increasing thickness of the mattress during the movement therapy. The augmenting feature may include concertinaed material, such as thermoformed plastic, and/or a fold of material coupled to the peripheral portion. The patient support portion and the bottom portion may at least partially overlap and be moveable relative to one another. The mattress cover may be included on a mattress overlay having a patient turning device, or on the mattress supported on a patient support apparatus.
CONVERTIBLE EXAMINATION TABLE
There is provided herein an examination table that is capable of being converted to render either an examination configuration or a seating configuration. The table includes a planar table member having a suitable surface for the examination of a subject and is adjustable between a horizontal orientation for medical evaluation of the subject and a vertical orientation when in the table member is not in use for exams.
RECONFIGURABLE UPPER LEG SUPPORT FOR A SURGICAL FRAME
A surgical frame and method for use thereof is provided. The surgical frame is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery. The surgical frame includes a main beam that can be rotated, raised/lowered, and tilted upwardly/downwardly to afford positioning and repositioning of a patient supported thereon. The surgical frame also includes a reconfigurable upper leg support for supporting portions of the upper legs, the hips, and the lower back of the patient to facilitate positioning and repositioning there during surgery. The upper leg support via reconfiguration thereof can accommodate patients of different sizes, can provide flexure of the patient's lumbar spine to facilitate surgical access thereto, and can prevent unwanted torsion of a patient's spine during such reconfiguration.
COMBINED TREATMENT AND EXERCISE APPARATUS
A combined treatment, exercise, and traction apparatus including a base, a support frame supported by the base and having a first end and an opposing second end, a treatment table mounted to the support frame and a first foot rest member frame and a second foot rest member frame, wherein the first foot rest member frame includes a first foot rest member, and wherein the second foot rest member frame includes a second foot rest member, wherein each foot rest member frame is pivotally coupled to the second end of the support frame, and wherein each of the first and second foot rest member frames are independently pivotable relative to the support frame between a first foot rest member frame position generally parallel to the support frame and a second foot rest member frame position generally perpendicular to the support frame.
Mattress Cover And Mattress Assembly
PERSON SUPPORT APPARATUSES FOR SUBJECT REPOSITIONING
Support pad assemblies and person support apparatuses are disclosed. A person support apparatus includes a base frame, a longitudinal frame coupled to the base frame, and a support deck supported on the longitudinal frame. The longitudinal frame extends in a longitudinal direction and the support deck is adjustable from a planar configuration to a concave configuration or a convex configuration.
PHYSICAL MEDICINE DROP DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A portable physical medicine drop device for performing treatments upon a patient. The device includes powered mechanisms capable of lifting a portion of a patient from a surface, a housing for the mechanisms, and a control means to activate the pushing of a padded element toward the patient when the housing and mechanism are placed between the patient and a surface. Additional mechanisms having additional pads may be incorporated for various chiropractic and physical medicine procedures. A method of use of the portable device to perform treatments upon patients.
ROTATABLE FIXATION BRIDGE
A rotatable fixation bridge as described herein may include a first end fixedly connectable to a reference and defining at least a portion of a first joint; a second end fixedly connectable to an anchor and defining at least a portion of a second joint; and a bridge member extending between and rotatably secured to the first end and the second end, the bridge member rotatable relative to an axis and comprising a central portion offset from the axis.
Leg positioner for direct anterior approach total hip arthroplasty
Disclosed is a leg positioner apparatus to secure placement of a leg in total hip arthroplasty procedures. The leg positioner apparatus can attach to a standard operating table and helps in positioning the operative leg for femoral preparation. The leg positioner apparatus includes a post assembly mounted to an attachment bracket. The attachment bracket can be attached to the operating table. The operative leg can rest on the post assembly during the surgical procedure.
PATIENT POSITIONING SUPPORT APPARATUS WITH FAIL-SAFE CONNECTOR ATTACHMENT MECHANISM
A patient support apparatus for supporting a patient in a prone position during a surgical procedure is provided, including an open fixed frame suspended above a floor and a pair of spaced opposed radially sliding joints cooperating with the frame, each joint including a virtual pivot point and an arc of motion spaced from the virtual pivot point, the joints being movable along the arc providing a pivot ship mechanism for a pair of pelvic pads attached to the joints. A base for supporting and suspending a patient support structure above the floor, for supporting a patient during a surgical procedure, the base including a pair of spaced opposed vertical translation subassemblies reversibly attachable to a patient support structure, a cross-bar, and a rotation subassembly having two degrees of rotational freedom; wherein a location of each vertical translation subassembly is substantially constant during operation of the patient support structure.
