Communications system
A communication apparatus which communicates with a base station, the communication apparatus includes a receiving circuit configured to receive a message from the base station, wherein the message includes at least information identifying if the base station is a hybrid access mode base station; and a transmission circuit configured to transmit a parameter which identifies a user equipment to the base station when the base station is the hybrid access mode base station.
Inter-modulation distortion reduction in multi-mode wireless communication terminal
A multimode wireless communication terminal that communicates using a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT determines whether the first and second RATs are in an active state, and modifies a maximum transmit power limit of the first RAT based on a voice codec rate of a voice transmission on the second RAT when the first RAT and the second RAT are in the active state concurrently, wherein the second RAT is conducting the voice transmission in the active state. In an alternative embodiment, the limit is modified based on a transmit power status of the second RAT or on a transmission type of the first RAT.
Selective audio notifications based on connection to an accessory
A computer-implemented method of determining when an audio notification should be generated includes detecting receipt of a triggering event that occurs on a user device; generating, based on detecting, the audio notification for the triggering event; receiving, from the user device, a user voice command responding to the audio notification; and generating a response to the user voice command based on one or more of (i) information associated with the audio notification, and (ii) information associated with the user voice command.
Docking connector platform for mobile electronic devices
Docking platforms formed in one of the largest-surface-area surfaces of mobile electronic devices. Such a docking platform may comprise a docking accessory cavity having a docking connection system comprising one or more docking connectors formed within the cavity, and optionally two or more electrical contacts within the cavity, the contacts electrically connected to electronics within the electronic device and constructed and arranged to allow electrical connection to detachable docking accessories. The docking connection system is operable to form detachable attachments to multiple independent docking accessories simultaneously. The cavities of the docking platforms are shaped to accommodate a broad range of docking accessories that are specially adapted to sit in a generally flush manner with the back surface of the mobile electronic device while attached to the docking connectors. One type of accessory forms an assembly with an expandable accordion attached to the docking platform.
Circuits and systems to exchange subscriber identity module (SIM) information over a distance
A circuitry and a wireless communication system for carrying SIM card data over a distance. The wireless communication system comprises a first network node and a second network node. A SIM card can be placed in the first network node. SIM card data can be retrieved from or written to the SIM card by a second node via a cable. Other data communications between the first network node and the second network node is carried by another cable. In one variant, the other capable also carry electricity from one of the network node to the other network node. In one variant, the circuitry for carrying SIM card data comprises a plurality of buffers, resistors, capacitors and bi-directional level shifters.
Protective cover and electronic device having the same
A protective cover for an electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a protective cover configured to protect at least a partial region of the electronic device. The protective cover is detachably connectable with the electronic device by a snap-fit structure provided on at least one portion in surface contact with the electronic device.
Universal cell phone hand holding and safety device case
Cases, devices, and methods for protecting and holding portable handheld devices, such as cell phones and smart phones, in separate protective cases having outwardly extending resilient bumper corner eye lit rings which cushion the case and function as bumpers when the portable electronics device are dropped. The outwardly extending bumpers/eye lit rings can also support lanyards and keychain rings, and the like, so that the cases with portable electronics devices can be easily and safely held in one's finger, about their wrist, or on their neck. A central ring can be formed from an upper middle portion of the case for allowing the forefinger of a user to be inserted therein with the back of the hand supporting the case, and the lanyard wrapped about the user's wrist. The novel cases can also be used to safely protect other types of portable electronic devices, such as tablets and laptop computers, and the like, in similar manners. Portable electronic device housings can be initially manufactured and built with the outwardly extending resilient rings offering safe protection from being dropped and for being held, carried or worn.
Mobile computing device holder
A mobile computing device holder that is operable to receive and releasably secure a mobile computing device such as but not limited to a tablet PC. The mobile computing device holder includes a body having an interior volume wherein the body is formed in the shape of an animal. Disposed within the interior volume of the body is a mobile computing device receiver that is configured to releasably secure a mobile computing device. The mobile computing device receiver includes a annular central portion and a first arm and second arm secured thereto and diametrically opposite the central portion. A base member is disposed within the interior volume of the body and functions to anchor the mobile computing device receiver wherein the base member and the mobile computing device receiver has an arm intermediate thereto. A controller is present to electrically couple to mobile computing device.
Systems and methods for improved call handling
Systems and methods for providing a customizable call handling. The system can include a customizable graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to enable users to reject calls, accept calls, send a customized text message, or place calls on hold when handling one or more incoming calls. The system can enable the user to choose between multiple tabs for call handling. The system can also enable the user to customize where certain features appear in the GUI, including a customizable home screen for frequently user features. The system can enable customized text messaging to differentiate between customers or to differentiate between business and personal contacts. The system can also include machine learning algorithms to customize the GUI based on user's previous actions.
Mobile device case with foldable speaker system
A mobile device case is disclosed. The mobile device case includes a housing comprising a cavity configured to partially enclose a mobile device, a first and second foldable panel having first and second speakers pivotally connected to the housing, wherein the first and second foldable panels rotate from a folded position where the first and second foldable panels are configured to be folded on a back surface of the bottom surface of the cavity to an unfolded position where the first and second foldable panels extend laterally in a parallel way relative to the bottom surface of the cavity.
