For example, in an embodiment, a communication method may comprise establishing a communications session between either a user device and a telephone system or between a user device and voice recognition system, if the communications session is between a user device and a telephone system, extending the communications session to include a voice recognition system, if the communications session is between a user device and a voice recognition system, extending the communications session to include a telephone system, providing voice or speech information to the voice recognition system from the user device, and performing at least one function with the voice recognition system based on the provided voice or speech information.

SYSTEM FOR CLOUD-ENABLING A PREMISE PBX

In an example embodiment, a solution that allows a PBX to utilize bridged mobile or desktop applications for collaboration and softphone use is provided. The solution works in conjunction with existing hardwired PBX devices without requiring additional hardware such as an edge router to be integrated with the PBX hardware. Incoming calls are able to ring a user's hardwired device, such as a desk phone at an office, while simultaneously ring mobile device or desktop applications (apps). App users can place outbound PSTN calls and dial PBX extensions just as if they were using their hardwired device. Additionally, PSTN services are utilized from the existing PBX rather than bypassing the existing PBX, which makes tracking and billing more straightforward. A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) tie trunk is used between the existing PBX and a software bridge controller.

A telephonic interaction is commenced between the customer and the customer service representative and a split screen is displayed on the workstation. The split screen including the first Web page and a second Web page, wherein the second Web page is only viewable by the customer service representative. An application is caused to be moved from the second Web page to the first Web page for review and interaction by the customer via the client computer.

A transmission terminal transmits video data and display data of a screen shared with another transmission terminal to the other transmission terminal via a predetermined relay apparatus. The transmission terminal includes a storage unit that stores relay apparatus information of the relay apparatus to which the transmission terminal transmits the video data; a receive unit that receives the display data from an external input apparatus connected to the transmission terminal; and a transmitting unit that transmits the display data received by the receive unit to the relay apparatus indicated by the relay apparatus information stored in the storage unit.
