Spatial location presentation in head worn computing
Aspects of the present invention relate presentation of digital content, in a see-through display, representing a known location in an environment proximate to a head worn computer.
Processing segments of closed-caption text using external sources
Particular embodiments provide supplemental content that may be related to video content that a user is watching. A segment of closed-caption text from closed-captions for the video content is determined. A first set of information from the segment of closed-caption text, such as terms may be extracted. Particular embodiments use an external source that can be determined from a set of external sources. To determine the supplemental content, particular embodiments may extract a second set of information from the external source. Because the external source may be more robust and include more text than the segment of closed-caption text, the second set of information may include terms that better represent the segment of closed-caption text. Particular embodiments thus use the second set of information to determine supplemental content for the video content, and can provide the supplemental content to a user watching the video content.
Imaging apparatus
An imaging apparatus combines images output from imaging units, and reduces such scenes that an image of a displaced subject is captured. The apparatus includes a driving unit that drives at least one imaging unit serving as a driving target among the imaging units, in predetermined driving modes, and a combining unit that combines pieces of image data acquired by the imaging units. The imaging units each include an imaging sensor in which photoelectric converters for converting light into an electrical signal are arranged in rows and columns. The driving unit divides a region for acquiring the image data into a plurality of regions each corresponding to a unit formed of one or more rows of the imaging sensor. The driving modes include a first driving mode in which the imaging unit serving as the driving target is sequentially switched for each exposure or readout of the unit.
In-vehicle display system for navigation and additional functions
An in-vehicle information apparatus includes a main unit having a display device, and a navigation unit providing a navigation function to the main unit. The navigation unit includes a navigation processing unit a sub unit providing an addition function to the navigation unit, and a navigation unit screen generating unit which generates a navigation unit screen for displaying information concerning a function which the navigation unit provides. The main unit includes an operation unit which receives an input for selecting a function from a user, a main unit screen generating unit which generates a main unit screen for displaying information concerning a function which the main unit provides, and a video selector which selects one of the navigation unit screen and the main unit screen.
Apparatus and method for panoramic video hosting
A server includes an input node to receive video streams forming a panoramic video. A module forms a suggested field of view in the panoramic video. An output node sends the suggested field of view to a client device.
Generating compositions
Implementations generally relate to generating multiple user media compositions (e.g., photo compositions) in connection with a social network system. In one implementation, a method includes detecting a plurality of devices based on one or more location criteria. The method also includes synchronizing an actuation of the plurality of devices. The method also includes receiving photos from the plurality of devices. The method also includes generating one or more compositions from the photos.
Method to transmit video data in a data stream and associated metadata
The application concerns a method for transmitting video data in a data stream and associated metadata, said metadata representing associated video data structure. The method comprises the steps of—determining the structure of the video data, —splitting said structure into chunks in an incremental manner, —transmitting said chunks in the data stream at time intervals before the video data it is related to. The application concerns also a method for transmitting fingerprint information associated with video data into a video data stream. The method comprises the steps of: —determining fingerprint associated with at least one frame of said video data, —inserting at least a message into the video stream comprising said fingerprint information.
Moving Picture Coding Method, Moving Picture Coding Apparatus, Moving Picture Decoding Method, Moving Picture Decoding Apparatus, and Moving Picture Coding and Decoding Apparatus
A moving picture coding apparatus includes an intra-inter prediction unit which calculates a second motion vector by performing a scaling process on a first motion vector of a temporally neighboring corresponding block, when selectively adding, to a list, a motion vector of each of one or more corresponding blocks each of which is either a block included in a current picture to be coded and spatially neighboring a current block to be coded or a block included in a picture other than the current picture and temporally neighboring the current block, determines whether the second motion vector has a magnitude that is within a predetermined magnitude or not within the predetermined magnitude, and adds the second motion vector to the list when the intra-inter prediction unit determines that the second motion vector has a magnitude that is within the predetermined magnitude range.

Multiple camera alignment system with rigid substrates
Described herein are manufacturing methods and camera system designs that provide precise alignment between multiple camera modules mounted on a common chassis. The chassis includes a plurality of mounting regions, with each mounting region including one or more mounting posts. Each camera module includes one or more guiding holes into which the mounting posts are inserted. By precisely positioning the guiding holes and the mounting posts, the alignment of the camera modules with the chassis and the other camera modules may be controlled with high precision.
