A video processing method and a video processing system are provided. The video processing method is applied to a rotary video capturing device. The video processing method includes the following steps. First, at least one video frame corresponding to at least one piece of field-of-view (FOV) information is received, and a plurality of first coordinates corresponding to a plurality of first pixels of the at least one video frame is obtained. Coordinate transformation procedure is performed on the first coordinates according to the at least one piece of FOV information to obtain a plurality of second coordinates. A plurality of second pixels in a panoramic background image corresponding to the second coordinates is obtained. The first pixels are compared with the second pixels to determine whether the first pixels belong to a foreground or a background, to output comparison results.

Apparatus and method for a wide field of view image sensor

Methods and systems described herein address the issue of how to efficiently capture an image circle within an image sensor associated with a wide field of view camera. In one embodiment, a processor obtains several criteria, such as a plurality of sizes of a plurality of image circles, a minimal portion of the image circle to be recorded by the image sensors, and a minimal portion of the image sensors engaged in recording the image. Based on these criteria, the processor determines a number of image sensors, a number of image sensor sizes, and a number of image sensor shapes. In another embodiment, the processor receives additional criteria, such as the desired aspect ratio and the desired shape associated with the image sensor. Based on these criteria, the processor determines a number of image sensors and a number of image sensor sizes.

Adaptive impedance matching interface

A device is described. The device includes a data interface connector, an application processor, and interface circuitry. The application processor can receive signals via an antenna. The interface circuitry can be coupled between the application processor and the data interface connector. The data interface circuitry can determine a change in a signal property of one of the signals, the change being caused by an impedance mismatch between the data interface connector and a media consumption device. The data interface circuitry can also send the application processor a signal property setting corresponding with the change. The application processor can adjust the signal property of a subsequent one of the signals, in response to the signal property setting from the interface circuitry, to obtain an adjusted signal. The application processor can also send the adjusted signal to the media consumption device.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR CAPTURING A PANORAMIC IMAGE

A method and apparatus for facilitating the capturing of panoramic images with a portable device. Such panoramic images are typically formed of multiple image portions taking as the camera is scanned through a range of motion, and the image portions are digitally “stitched” together to form a panoramic image. A user interface is provided to guide a user in positioning and/or moving of the portable device in a manner that will enable capture of a plurality of images suited for forming the intended panoramic image. In many examples, parameters of the panoramic image capturing operation, such as movement and/or positioning of the camera during the operation will be monitored in real time, and the monitored parameters will be used to provide feedback to the user as to any adjustments that may improve the image capture process.

The ground conductor element is connected to both a ground terminal of the circuit board and the metal housing component in a vicinity of the end of the cable where the cable is connected to the circuit board. The ground conductor element is connected to the metal housing component through the metal component in the vicinity of the end of the cable.

The present invention provides a new and useful paradigm in wide area imaging, in which wide area imaging is provided by a step/dwell/image capture process and system to capture images and produce from the captured images a wide area image. The image capture is by a sensor that has a predetermined image field and provides image capture at a predetermined frame capture rate, and by a motorized step and dwell sequence of the sensor, where image capture is during a dwell, and the step and dwell sequence of the sensor is synchronized with the image capture rate of the sensor.

An image processing apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment generates a joined image by joining a plurality of textures based on a plurality of images, and includes a second derivation unit that derives a motion between images of the plurality of images, and a texture writing unit that writes, into a frame memory, the plurality of textures that form the joined image, based on the motion between the images. The plurality of textures include a texture having such a shape that at least a part of an outline thereof is curved.
