A method performed by a Discoverer device, comprises broadcasting a direct discovery request, receiving a direct discovery response from a Discoveree device, the direct discovery response comprising a first token, and the Discoverer device using the first token to verify that the Discoveree device is authorized to respond to the direct discovery request.

Wireless communication modes based on mobile device orientation
Wireless communications may be established between mobile computing devices via wireless protocols in asymmetric modes, using the orientation of the mobile devices to determine the asymmetric modes in which the mobile devices are operated. Requests may be received to initiate wireless communications using a wireless protocol that supports at least two asymmetric communication modes. The orientation of the mobile devices may be determined, and the asymmetric communication modes to be used by the mobile devices may be based on the orientations of the mobile device. Each mobile device may be configured to operate in the determined asymmetric communication mode of the wireless protocol, for establishing communications via the wireless protocol with other mobile devices.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR DIRECT DISCOVERY AND COMMUNICATION USING A WTRU TO WTRU RELAY
Methods, apparatus, systems, architectures and interfaces, performed by a relay wireless transmit/receive unit (R-WTRU) including a transmitter, a receiver, a memory, and a processor, for establishing extended unicast links and management unicast links are provided. The method includes: performing, by the R-WTRU, a link establishment procedure for establishing any number of extended unicast links for relaying traffic between a service-provider WTRU (SP-WTRU) and any number of service-user WTRUs (SU-WTRUs) according to a mapping generated by the R-WTRU, the link establishment procedure including: (1) generating a mapping of any of the extended links and layer 2 (L2) identifiers (IDs) for any of a SP-WTRU, a R-WTRU, and any number of SU-WTRUs, and (2) transmitting a unique relay ID; establishing a management unicast link for the extended unicast links; and applying any number of link management requests received via the management unicast link to associated extended unicast links.

A coordinator device for a bicycle includes a processor configured to receive a signal generated in response to user input at an input element from a controller device. The signal includes data identifying a device type and data identifying the input element. The coordinator device includes a memory configured to store the data identifying the device type and the data identifying the input element. The processor is configured to generate a notification based on the received signal, transmit the generated notification to the mobile device, and in response to the transmission of the generated notification, receive a request for data related to the received signal from the mobile device. The processor is further configured, in response to the request, to transmit the stored data to the mobile device, such that an association of the controller device with the representation of the controller device is identifiable within the GUI at the mobile device.
BEACONS FOR LOCALIZATION AND CONTENT DELIVERY TO WEARABLE DEVICES
Example systems, devices, media, and methods are described for presenting a virtual experience using the display of an eyewear device in augmented reality. A content delivery application implements and controls the detecting of beacons broadcast from beacon transmitters deployed at fixed locations and determining the current eyewear location based on the detected beacons. The method includes retrieving content and presenting a virtual experience based on the retrieved content, the beacon data, and a user profile. The virtual experience includes playing audio messages, presenting text on the display, playing video segments on the display, and combinations thereof. In addition to wireless detection of beacons, the method includes scanning and decoding a beacon activation code positioned near the beacon transmitter to access a beacon.
