A lamp including a body for containing a light engine that includes at least a first and second string of said light emitters. The lamp includes driver electronics including an AC-DC switching power supply section of a circuit including a first potentiometer for adjusting total current to the light engine; and a linear topology LED string current control section of the circuit including an operational amplifier controlled by a second potentiometer to operate a field effect transistor (FET) in the linear portion of the FETs operation range to adjust a percentage of the total current to the first and second string of the light emitters. Adjusting the total current adjusts the photosynthetic photon flux (PPF) of light emitted by the lamp. Adjusting the percentage of the total current to the first and second string of the light emitters adjusts the spectral power distribution of light being emitted by the lamp.

Lighting script control

A controller for a lighting system, the lighting system comprising one or more luminaires associated with a lighting channel; the controller comprising: a script interpreter configured to interpret a lighting script for rendering on the luminaires; an effect impact determining module configured to determine a visual impact level of each of the lighting effects if rendered as defined by the lighting script unmodified; a script modifier configured to selectively generate, based on the visual impact levels, effect modification data for modifying the visual impact level of at least one of the lighting effects; a lighting controller configured to control the luminaires associated with the lighting channel to render versions of the lighting effects defined by the lighting script, wherein the lighting controller is configured to use the effect modification data to render a modified version of the at least one lighting effect having the modified visual impact level.

Controlling groups of electrical loads

A load control system may include control devices for controlling electrical loads. The control devices may include load control devices, such as a lighting device for controlling an amount of power provided to a lighting load, and controller devices, such as a remote control device configured to transmit digital messages for controlling the lighting load via the load control device. The remote control device may communicate with the lighting devices via a hub device. The remote control device may detect a user interface event, such as a button press or a rotation of the remote control device. The remote control device or the hub device may determine whether to transmit digital messages as unicast messages or multicast messages based on the type of user interface event detected. The remote control device, or other master device, may synchronize and/or toggle an on/off state of lighting devices in the load control system.

Apparatus, method and system for providing AC line power to lighting devices

An apparatus, method and system are disclosed for providing AC line power to lighting devices such as light emitting diodes (LEDs). A representative apparatus comprises: a plurality of LEDs coupled in series to form a plurality of segments of LEDs; first and second current regulators; a current sensor; and a controller to monitor a current level through a series LED current path, and to provide for first or second segments of LEDs to be in or out of the series LED current path at different current levels. A voltage regulator is also utilized to provide a voltage during a zero-crossing interval of the AC voltage. In a representative embodiment, first and second segments of LEDs are both in the series LED current path regulated at a lower current level compared to when only the first segment of LEDs is in the series LED current path.

Three-line four-way light string and control system thereof

The present disclosure relates to decorative lamps, and in particular to a three-line four-way light string and control system thereof. The three-line four-way light string and control system thereof comprises signal lines L1, L0, L2, a plurality of LED lamps are connected between the signal line L1 and the signal line L0 in parallel, and a plurality of LED lamps are connected between the signal line L2 and the signal line L0 in parallel. The three-line four-way light string and control system thereof provided by the present disclosure can be produced by utilizing a full mechanization manner so as to have high yield and accuracy, save raw material and energy consumption, have a little pollution and be applicable to mass production.

Line ripple reducer

A circuit includes a power supply circuit and a ripple reduction circuit. The power supply circuit supplies a Direct Current (DC) lighting current to a light emitting circuit. The lighting current has a ripple current at a ripple frequency. The ripple reduction circuit receives the lighting current, and performs, based on the received lighting current, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) of the lighting current at a PWM frequency. The PWM frequency is higher than the ripple frequency. By performing the PWM, the ripple reduction current reduces variations in a magnitude of the lighting current at the ripple frequency. The PWM frequency may be higher than a frequency at which variations in the magnitude of the light produced by the lighting circuit have a harmful effect on the human eye.

ILLUMINATION CONTENT TRANSLATION

A multi-track illumination content editing system allows creation or alteration of content using multiple input tracks representing illumination or other electromagnetic emissions and auxiliary content representing presentations other than electronic emissions, e.g., images, audio, or video. The editing system may particularly perform mixed media editing that manipulates both illumination and auxiliary content so that output illumination or auxiliary tracks depend on both illumination and auxiliary input tracks.
