Systems and methods for it management of distributed computing resources on a peer-to-peer network
Systems and methods for managing distributed computing resources including blockchain-based management of serverless computing and edge computing. Distributed computing resources are managed on a peer-to-peer network, and serverless functions are hosted on a distributed IT infrastructure. Developers for the serverless functions and providers of distributed IT infrastructure utilize a blockchain-based IT marketplace platform to make transactions relating to computing resource consumption.
Detection of in-band software defined network controllers using parallel redundancy protocol
This disclosure pertains to identifying and configuring an in-band controller operating on a host in a software defined network (SDN), the host configured to use a parallel redundancy protocol (PRP). In one embodiment, a system may include a network in communication with the host, the network comprising a plurality of switches interconnected with a plurality of physical links. The in-band controller is in communication with the network and includes a PRP identification subsystem to generate a packet configured such that the network forwards the packet back to the in-band controller, to analyze the packet and determine that the packet conforms to PRP, and to identify a first communication host in communication with the network and configured to operate using PRP. A traffic routing subsystem of the in-band controller may create a plurality of PRP communication flows between the in-band controller and the first communication host.
NETWORK MANAGEMENT BASED ON ASSESSMENT OF TOPOLOGICAL ROBUSTNESS AND CRITICALITY OF ASSETS
A system and method of managing a network that includes assets are described. The method includes modeling the network as a directed graph with each of the assets represented as a node and determining alternative paths to each node from each available corresponding source of the node. The method also includes computing upstream robustness of each node, computing upstream robustness of the network, and computing downstream criticality of each node. Managing the network and each asset of the network is based on the upstream robustness and the downstream criticality of each node.
System and method for protection of an ICS network by an HMI server therein
A defense suite for an industrial control system (ICS) network is disclosed. The defense suite is installed and executed on a network server hosting the human-machine interface (HMI) function of the network, thereby gaining communication privileges of the HMI server to query and perform other operations with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other assets of the network. The defense suite further comprises a network protection engine (NWPE) that alerts a defense suite user of suspicious activity in the network. Normal behavior of the network is obtained by a learning engine, during a learning period. The learning engine can be reactivated after a configuration change in the network. The data suite also comprises an operating system protection engine (OSPE), for preventing removable devices from accessing the HMI server and a preventing execution of unauthorized executables. The OSPE is also trained for which programs are authorized through its own program discovery module.

Automatic discovery of relationships among equipment through observation over time
Described are platforms, systems, and methods to discover relationships among equipment in automated industrial or commercial environments by looking for synchrony in state changes among the equipment. The platforms, systems, and methods identify a plurality of data sources associated with an automation environment; detect one or more events or one or more state changes in the data sources; store the detected events or state changes; detect synchrony in the detected events or state changes by performing operations comprising: identifying combinatorial pairs of data sources having an event or state change within a predetermined time window; and conducting pairwise testing for each identified combinatorial pair of data sources by applying an algorithm to the stored detected events or state changes; and determine one or more relationships for at least one identified combinatorial pair of data sources.
SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT-BASED MULTI-HARDWARE ACCELERATED INFERENCE
Various systems and methods for implementing a service-level agreement (SLA) apparatus receive a request from a requester via a network interface of the gateway, the request comprising an inference model identifier that identifies a handler of the request, and a response time indicator. The response time indicator relates to a time within which the request is to be handled indicates an undefined time within which the request is to be handled. The apparatus determines a network location of a handler that is a platform or an inference model to handle the request consistent with the response time indicator, and routes the request to the handler at the network location.
