Hardenable dental composition containing a mixture of agglomerated and aggregated nano-particles, kit of parts and use thereof
The invention relates to a dental composition comprising filler (F1) comprising aggregated nano-sized particles in an amount of from about 30 to about 70 wt. %, filler (F2) comprising agglomerated nano-sized particles in an amount from about 1 to about 20 wt. %, hardenable component (A1) being an urethane(meth)acrylate with a functionality of at least 2 and having a molecular weight from about 400 to about 3,000 g/mol,-hardenable component (A2) being a radically polymerizable (meth)acrylate with a functionality of at least 2 being different from component (A1), redox curing initiator system, the dental composition not comprising non-agglomerated nano-sized filler in an amount above about 10 wt. %, wt. % with respect to the weight of the whole composition. The dental composition is in particular useful as or for production of permanent crown and bridges, inlays, onlays and veneers.
CATIONICALLY CURING DENTAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING POLYMERIC PARTICLES AND USE THEREOF
The invention relates to a curable dental composition comprising a cationically hardenable compound (A) comprising at least two aziridine moieties, a starter (B) being suitable to cure the hardenable compound (A), polymeric particles as filler component (C), the polymeric particles having a maximum particle size of 150 μm or below and the component(s) the polymeric particles are made of being based on fluoropolymers comprising more than 99% monomer repeating units of tetra fluoro ethylene. The invention also relates to the use of such composition for producing a dental impression material or a dental retraction material.

The monomers are particularly suitable as components of dental material.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR INHIBITION AND INTERRUPTION OF BIOFILM FORMATION
Compositions and methods for inhibiting and interrupting biofilm formation, and for destabilizing established biofilms are provided, the novel compositions including polymeric resins and monomeric non-polymerizable and polymerizable resins. More particularly, the compositions and methods enable the protection and removal of biofilms from surfaces in the context of medical, consumer, domestic, food service, environmental and industrial applications, where the effects constitute beneficial and desirable biofilm attenuating activity.
Dental adhesive
A one-part self-etching, self-priming dental adhesive having a pH of at most 2, which comprises an aqueous mixture containing (i) one or more polymerizable monomers optionally containing an acidic group, (ii) optionally one or more organic or inorganic acids, (iii) a polymerization initiator, and (iv) a thermal polymerisation inhibitor of the following formula (I): ##STR00001## wherein R′.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom, or a saturated hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms. R′.sub.2, which may be the same or different if more than one R′.sub.2 is present, independently represent a saturated hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and c represents an integer of from 1 to 4.
METHOD TO MANUFACTURE A COLORED BLANK, AND BLANK
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a colored blank, which contains zirconium dioxide and is intended for the manufacture of a dental restoration, whereby raw materials in powder form, at least some of which contain one coloring substance each, are mixed with, zirconium dioxide as the main ingredient, the resulting mixture is pressed and subsequently subjected to at least one thermal treatment. To generate the desired fluorescence, it is intended that in the raw materials in powder form one uses as coloring substances at least terbium, erbium, cobalt, as well as one substance that generates a fluorescence effect in the dental restoration, however not iron, aside from naturally occurring impurities.
Lithium silicate glass ceramic for fabrication of dental appliances
The present invention relates to a method of fabricating an improved lithium silicate glass ceramic and to that material for the manufacture of blocks for dental appliances using a CAD/CAM process and hot pressing system. The lithium silicate material has a chemical composition that is different from those reported in the prior art with 1 to 10% of germanium dioxide in final composition. The softening points are close to the crystallization final temperature of 800° C. indicating that the samples will support the temperature process without shape deformation.
Compounds containing (meth)acrylate groups and sulfonate or sulfate groups, polymers and condensates therefrom and use of the polymers and condensates
A compound has at least three functionalities, including a first functionality (a) that is a sulfonate group or a sulfate group of the formula —(O).sub.d—SO.sub.3M with d=0 or 1 and with M=hydrogen or a monovalent metal cation or a corresponding portion of a multivalent metal cation; a second functionality (b) that is a (meth)acryl residue; and a third functionality (c) that is a carboxylic acid function and/or a thioether group. When the compound is free of silicon, the sulfonate or sulfate group and the (meth)acryl residue are separated from each other by a hydrocarbon-containing residue having a carbon chain. The carbon chain is interrupted by S or NH, or the carbon chain contains a linking group, selected from C(O)NH, NHC(O), NR.sup.8C(O), NHC(O)O, NR.sup.8C(O)O, NHC(O)NH, C(O)NHC(O) and —C(O)S—, wherein R.sup.8 is alkyl or alkenyl or a (meth)acryl group.

To provide a two-paste type sealer composition for root canal filling consisting of a first paste containing a polymer (a) of an acid group-containing polymerizable monomer in which a portion or the entirety of the acidic group in a molecule forms a salt with an alkaline metal, a non-acid reactive powder (b) and water (c), wherein the pH of the first paste is in the range from 3.5 to 5.5, and a second paste containing an acid reactive inorganic powder (d), water (c) and a thickener (e), wherein, a cured product of a kneaded material of the first paste and the second paste comprises 3 to 20 part by weight of the polymer (a), 15 to 60 part by weight of the water (c), and 30 to 70 part by weight of the acid reactive inorganic powder (d).
