A control system for the work vehicle includes a display, an input device, and a controller. The controller displays a current position of a work vehicle on a screen of a display. The controller receives a first input signal indicating an input operation by an operator from a input device. The controller determines, as a first position, the position of the work vehicle when the first input signal is received. The controller displays the first position on the screen of the display. The controller receives a second input signal indicating an input operation by an operator from the input device. The controller determines, as the second position, the position of the work vehicle when the second input signal is received. The controller determines a target design surface indicating a target trajectory of a work implement based on reference position information including at least the first position and the second position.

Agricultural work system

An agricultural work system has an agricultural work machine to which at least one mounted implement can be fitted via at least one implement interface. A work machine configuration is associated with the work machine, and a mounted implement configuration is associated with the mounted implement. A drive unit is provided which acts via a drivetrain on ground engaging elements, particularly on tires. A system control and a control/display unit associated with the work machine are provided. It is proposed that the system control is adapted to determine the mounted implement configuration, to calculate the implement interface load transmitted via the implement interface based on the determined mounted implement configuration, and to evaluate and/or optimize the work machine configuration based on the calculated implement interface load.

A method of controlling a tractor/baler combination is disclosed including the steps of: (i) advancing a tractor/baler combination through a swath or windrow of a harvested crop material with a tractor PTO operating at a generally constant speed to power a drive of a baling chamber of the baler and the baler operating to pick up harvested crop material; (ii) during step (i) assessing the flowrate of the harvested crop material in the baler and the torque of the baling chamber drive (iii) comparing the assessed flowrate with an optimal flowrate and the torque of the baler chamber drive with an optimal baler chamber drive; and (iv) if the assessed flowrate differs from the optimal flowrate by more than a predetermined amount or the assessed torque of the baler chamber drive differs from the optimal torque by more than a predetermined amount, changing the speed of advancement of the tractor/baler combination, and hence changing the flowrate of biological matter in the baler and the torque of the baler chamber drive.

AGRICULTURAL WORK MACHINE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN AGRICULTURAL WORK MACHINE

An agricultural work machine, such as a harvester, is disclosed. The agricultural work machine includes an internal combustion engine, at least one working assembly, and a regulating device. The internal combustion engine provides power to the working assembly, with the internal combustion engine being operated in different power settings, with a different performance characteristic in each of the different power settings. The regulating device causes automatic shifting of the internal combustion engine from one power setting to another in response to determining that the power requirements assigned to the working assembly change. The power settings may be assigned to different, pre-selectable power setting ranges, which may differ in terms of the highest respective power setting assigned thereto. Further, the regulating device may only cause shifting of the internal combustion engine between power settings in the respective pre-selected power setting range.
