ADAPTIVE TECHNOLOGIES FOR VETIVER GRASS PROPAGATION AND TRANSPLANTATION AND RELATED METHODS OF REPURPOSING VETIVER GRASS
Technologies and techniques that reduce cost and time for propagation, transplantation and harvesting of Vetiver Grass for multiple applications. Tools, equipment, systems and processes to propagate, transplant and harvest Vetiver Grass that will promote the rapid implementation of sustainable, large-scale Vetiver plantations in wealthy and impoverished countries alike.
AGRICULTURAL ROW UNIT ACCESSORY
A tool assembly is provided for a planter row unit and resides at the forward end of the row unit beneath the tool bar. The assembly includes a bracket assembly connected to the row unit, with a ground engaging tool removably mounted on the bracket assembly for movement between raised and lowered positions. A linear actuator controls the position of the tool. The tool may also include a depth control mechanism. Different tools can be interchanged on the bracket assembly.

WATERSHED AND MULCH SLOT SYSTEM
Methods of preparing soil for farming to enhance the capture and retention of moisture. Steps may include forming an elongated slot in the soil of an agricultural field between and substantially parallel to adjacent crop rows. The slot is filled with mulch so that a portion of the mulch extends above the surface of the soil proximate the slot. One or more layers of salt and biochar, or a premix of salt and biochar, are then applied to the soil surface between the crop row and the slot to encourage runoff of surface water into the mulch slot. A surfactant and cation exchange stimulant is applied to the mulch within the slot.
Apparatus and method for planting trees
A method and system for planting seedlings including a seedling handling system, a seedling chute system and a planting head. The seedling handling system retrieves the seedlings and then the seedling chute system transfers the seedlings from the seedling handling system to the planting head which then plants the seedlings. The method includes retrieving a row of seedlings and then delivering the row of seedlings to the planting head for individual planting of the seedlings. The method and system provide for continuous tree planting.
