SYSTEM FOR HARVESTING THE TOP PORTIONS OF PLANTS AND RELATED AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER
An agricultural harvester includes an annular housing having an arcuate cross-section such that the annular housing defines a toroidal chamber therein.
Furthermore, the agricultural harvester includes a blade supported below the annular housing in a vertical direction, with the blade configured to sever top portions of plants from stalks of the plants. Additionally, the agricultural harvester includes a crop flow director positioned above the blade in the vertical direction, with the crop flow director configured to direct the severed top portions into the toroidal chamber. Moreover, the agricultural harvester includes an elevator assembly supported relative to the annular housing. In addition, the agricultural harvester includes a fan assembly configured to generate a flow of air through the annular housing to convey the severed top portions from the toroidal chamber to the elevator assembly.

ROW SENSE OPERATIONS WITH CONTEXT SENSING
A computer-implemented method of operating an agricultural work machine is provided. The method includes initiating row sensing guidance for the agricultural work machine to guide steering of the agricultural work machine based at least one signal from a row sensor; obtaining contextual information; determining whether a row is present based on the contextual information; and selectively ignoring the at least one signal from the row sensor based on whether a row is present. An agricultural work machine and a control system for an agricultural work machine are also provided.

Crop canopy gleaning machine
Some crops, such as soybeans, grow close to the ground, having a low canopy relative to that of weeds growing interspersed in the crop. A farm implement removes weed growth above the crop canopy. The implement has a chassis with at least three wheels connected to the chassis, a cutting mechanism, mounted at a front end of the chassis, a means for collecting weed growth cut by the cutting mechanism, mounted on the chassis, means for generating and selectively applying rotational torque to at least one of the at least three wheels and means for a user to guide the chassis down the rows in which the crop is grown.

Gathering chains for row crop harvester heads
Gathering chains for row crop harvester heads which improve yield by minimizing the loss of kernels that may prematurely break loose and be lost to the ground. The gathering chains include continuous loops with a plurality of lateral extension segments which provide a substantially continuous conveying surface extending substantially across the width of the slot defining the path of travel of the row crop entering the row unit.
Draper header with flexible crop cutting knife
A crop harvesting header having a frame mounted on a propulsion vehicle has a cutter bar carrying a sickle knife and a draper transport. The draper is guided at its front edge by a longitudinally extending rail mounted on the frame for movement therewith. The cutter bar is mounted on the frame at spaced positions by spring blades attached to a fixed beam at the rear which allow up and down flexing movement of the cutter bar relative to the draper engagement member. At the center discharge the cutter bar is carried on shorter blades which are carried on a beam in front of the front draper roller. The small amount of flexing of the cutter bar combines with a balanced three piece header frame to provide effective ground following.
Header for Harvesting Stalk-like Plants with a Picking Gap Oriented Transversely to the Direction of Travel
A header for harvesting stalk-like plants includes a number of gatherer assemblies arranged side by side for cutting off and conveying plants to a picking device arranged downstream of the gatherer assemblies. The picking device extends transversely to a direction of travel over the entire working width of at least one half of the header and includes a picking gap and stalk roll below the picking gap to separate fruits from the plants and to deliver them for a separate utilization.
