Tessellated ceramic apparatus for plant growth
11576315 · 2023-02-14 · ·

A tessellated ceramic apparatus for plant growth is set forth devised to support germination and plant growth upon an exterior surface. Water moves under osmotic pressure from a water storage volume disposed in osmotic communication with the ceramic, through the ceramic to become available water at the exterior surface. A graduated cross-section regulates water flow from a water storage volume through to the exterior surface along a pressure gradient exerted by the water head. Plant growth is facilitated within a plurality of tessellated indentations disposed upon the exterior surface and growth may be restricted from areas of the exterior surface by application of gloss, glaze, sealants and/or other surface features that may blend design elements to augment and support a living design.

A calcium carbonate agricultural product includes calcium carbonate. The calcium carbonate agricultural product may be used to replace any suitable agricultural plastic currently in use. A method of growing plants includes providing a calcium carbonate agricultural product including calcium carbonate to protect the plants. A method for controlling a pH of soil includes: providing a calcium carbonate agricultural product including calcium carbonate to the soil; and releasing the calcium carbonate of the calcium carbonate agricultural product to the soil.

Planting pot and tray system and method

A planting pot and tray system comprises a plurality of pots and a tray having multiple receptacles configured to receive the pots. Each pot includes at least one rounded side, and at least one generally flat side, with each receptacle including at least one curved wall and at least one generally straight wall. The receptacles are configured to receive the pots with the rounded and flat sides of the pot engaging with respective walls of the receptacle to whereby the respective shapes of the receptacles and pots orient the pots within the receptacles. A front wall of the receptacle is shorter than the pot whereby a portion of side of the pot is exposed and directed outwardly from the tray.

GAS SENSING ASSEMBLY FOR AN INDOOR GARDEN CENTER
20220408671 · 2022-12-29 ·

An indoor gardening appliance includes a liner defining a grow chamber and a grow module rotatably mounted within the grow chamber for receiving a plurality of plant pods. A recirculation duct is in fluid communication with the grow chamber and a fan assembly circulates a flow of air through the recirculation duct and the grow chamber. A gas sensing assembly includes a gas sensor positioned within the recirculation duct for detecting the concentration of a gas within the flow of air and a flow stabilization device at least partially surrounding the gas sensor for reducing pressure fluctuations in the flow of air and improving gas sensor accuracy.

GREENHOUSE AGRICULTURE SYSTEM
20230031148 · 2023-02-02 ·

Methods and systems are disclosed configured to control the planting, application of pesticides, and harvesting of greenhouse crops, such as herbs. The greenhouse may include a variety of sensors, such as moisture sensors, ph sensors, and/or CO2 sensors. Unmanned vehicles may be utilized to capture crop images, and a learning engine may be used to determine the size of greenhouse crops. Such sensor data may be used to predict crop availability. A predication engine may be utilized to predict demand for greenhouse crops using current and historical orders for greenhouse crops. Greenhouse crop production instructions may be generated and transmitted to a greenhouse computer system to cause crops to be sown or harvested. Pallet loading instructions may be generated regarding the loading of specified quantities of crop packs on respective pallets for shipment to a destination.

Automated placement of plant varieties for optimum performance within a grow space subject to environmental condition variability

Systems, methods and computer-readable media are provided for determining optimum placement, within a grow space, of plants of different varieties. Sets of reference environmental setpoints each correspond to a desired predicted performance of a respective plant variety. Environmental condition metrics at different positions within the grow space are determined. An allocation of the plants is determined among different volumetric regions within the grow space based on predicted performance of the plant varieties as a function of position within the grow space.
