FEED INGREDIENTS COMPRISING LYSED MICROBIAL CELLS
The present disclosure relate to feed ingredients and formulated feed, methods for their manufacture, and uses thereof in nutritional applications such as in aquaculture, terrestrial animal feed, and human nutrition. The feed ingredient compositions comprise lysed microbial cells with a small aspect ratio and triglyceride oil.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS THAT MODULATE VITAMIN D AND BONE MINERAL CONTENT IN A COMPANION ANIMAL
Bone mineral content, 25(OH) vitamin D3, or 1,25(OH).sub.2 vitamin D3 in a companion animal can be improved by adjusting the diet of the animal to increase the amount of a compound which positively or negatively modulates the bone mineral content, 25(OH) vitamin D3, or 1,25(OH).sub.2 vitamin D3 or adjusting the diet of the animal to decrease the amount of a compound which positively or negatively modulates the bone mineral content, 25(OH) vitamin D3, or 1,25(OH).sub.2 vitamin D3.

Systems for managing weight loss and body mass
The present invention provides a system for providing a health benefit to a companion animal comprising: a maintenance pet food comprising fat, protein, and carbohydrates, where the maintenance pet food can be complete and balanced and has a density ranging from 400 g/l to 600 g/l; and a reduced caloric pet food comprising fat, protein, and carbohydrates, where the reduced caloric pet food can be complete and balanced and has a density ranging from 300 g/l to 450 g/l. Generally, the reduced caloric pet food can have a caloric content of 50% to 90% of the maintenance pet food in about the same volume and the reduced caloric pet food can have a density of 70% to 85% of the maintenance pet food.

METHOD FOR EVALUATING SPECTRA OF BIOLOGICAL SUBSTANCES OF ANIMAL ORIGIN, VEGETABLE ORIGIN OR A MIXTURE THEREOF
A method for evaluating spectra of a biological substance of animal and/or vegetable origin, may include (a) detecting a spectrometer in a network formed of at least one spectrometer and an input/output device, (b) requesting the individual status of each spectrometer in the network of (a), and displaying the detected spectrometers and their status on the input/output device, the status reflecting if a spectrometer is available for recording a spectrum or not, (c) receiving a selection from the spectrometers being available for recording a spectrum on the input/output device, (d) recording a spectrum of a sample material of animal origin, vegetable origin or a mixture thereof on the spectrometer selected in (c), (e) predicting a value for at least one parameter from the spectrum of (d) by a calibration function and/or calibration graph suitable for predicting the parameter value, and (e) displaying the result from (e) on the input/output device.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO ADAPTIVELY OPTIMIZE FEED BLEND AND MEDICINAL SELECTION USING MACHINE LEARNING TO OPTIMIZE ANIMAL MILK PRODUCTION AND HEALTH
Embodiments disclosed include systems, apparatus, and/or methods to receive a target health status of and/or quality of bioproduct produced by a managed livestock and indications of health status and quality of bioproduct. The systems, apparatus, and/or methods generate a set of input vectors based on the target health status or bioproduct quality, and the indications of bioproduct quality, and health status, and provide the set of input vectors to a machine learning model trained to generate an output indicating a feed selection. The feed selection can be included in a feed blend and administered to the managed livestock, such that, upon consumption, it increases a likelihood of collectively improving the health status of the managed livestock and the bioproduct quality of the managed livestock.
