FROZEN FOOD
A frozen food is provided that requires neither addition of water nor large cookware such as a pot, an electromagnetic cooker and a gas stove; is easy to eat; can be stored for a long period; does not cause loosening and uneven heating of the noodle; and makes it possible to enjoy an aromatic and authentic taste in a simple manner only by heating in a microwave oven. It was found that a plurality of chunks of frozen soup having a specific size are placed at a higher position with respect to a frozen noodle, so that a frozen food that makes it possible to enjoy an authentic taste as a hot noodle simply by microwave cooking can be provided, and these findings have led to the present invention.

Wheat with new alleles of Rht-B1
The present invention provides a wheat plant comprising an Rht-B1 allele which encodes an Rht-B1 (DELLA) polypeptide. Grain from a near-isogenic wheat line comprising the dwarfing Rht-B1c allele was subjected to sodium azide mutagenesis. Plants exhibiting early leaf elongation rates or mature plant height greater than the dwarf parent were selected and the Rht-B1 gene sequenced. This identified 35 mutated alleles of Rht-B1c. Similar methods were also used to identify mutant alleles of the dwarfing sln1d allele in barley, where DELLA is encoded by the sln1 gene.
Swelling of starch suspensions
A methodology useful for predicting the texture of a heated starch suspension by predicting the storage modulus (G′) of the starch suspension resulting from starch granule swelling during heating has been developed. The methodology is based on the physical properties of the starch granules in the starch suspension and the temperature history of the heated starch suspension.
FROZEN FOOD
A frozen noodle product includes: a frozen noodle block, as a main food portion, obtained by freezing and hardening a cooked food; and a sauce portion obtained by freezing and hardening a sauce to be eaten together with the cooked food. The frozen noodle block has a sauce-portion arranging surface on which the sauce portion is arranged. An opening is formed in the sauce-portion arranging surface. The sauce portion is arranged on the frozen noodle block such that the lower end side, which is a part of the sauce portion, is inserted in the opening and the upper end side, which is the remaining part thereof, projects from the sauce-portion arranging surface side.
Garlic Chile Oil
The specific preparation and cooking of specific ingredients to create a sauce. The sauce may serve or be intended for dipping and/or as a condiment, to serve on top of food items for added flavor.
CLEAN LABEL STARCH COMPOSITIONS
A label friendly starch composition, and method of making, includes a thermally inhibited (TI) corn starch and a waxy starch in an amount up to about 50 weight percent of the starch composition. In an example, the waxy starch can be waxy rice and the amount can be between about 15 and about 50 weight percent of the starch composition. In an example, the waxy starch can be waxy corn and the amount can be between about 15 and about 25 weight percent of the starch composition. The starch compositions disclosed herein can be suitable for use in a variety of food products, including, but not limited to, soups and sauces. The food products containing the starch compositions disclosed herein exhibit favorable viscosity, refrigeration stability and resistance to breakdown from a freeze/thaw cycle.

Mutant of cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase
The present invention discloses a mutant of cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase and belongs to the fields of gene engineering and enzyme engineering. According to the present invention, a mutant having higher disproportionation activity of cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase is obtained by mutating the cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase. The disproportionation activity of enzymes of mutants V6D, S90G, T168A, T171A, T383A, G608A, and V6D/S90G/T168A/T171A/T383A/G608A, is respectively 1.89 times, 1.21 times, 1.21 times, 1.22 times, 1.32 times, 2.03 times, and 3.16 times that of the wild type enzyme in shake flask fermentations.
TASTE MODIFYING INGREDIENTS
A method of providing improved mouthfeel in consumables having a fat content of about 20% or less is provided. The method includes the step of adding to a consumable composition base from about 0.02 parts per billion to about 25 parts per million based on the total weight of the consumable composition of an Amadori compound, without any subsequent heating. The Amadori compound is a reaction product of glucose with proline.
