APPARATUS FOR THE TREATMENT OF HORTICULTURAL PRODUCTS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SUCH APPARATUS
An apparatus for the treatment of horticultural products, including in series at least a first station, configured for supplying a handling and processing line with an indiscriminate mass of horticultural products, a second station, arranged along the line and configured for the acquisition of information related to at least one parameter of interest of each horticultural product in transit and for the transmission of the information to an electronic control and management unit, and a third station, arranged along the line and configured for the selective conveyance of each horticultural product in transit toward one of at least two distinct collection stations.
The apparatus includes an electronic vision device, arranged along a chosen point of the line that is between the first station and the second station and is configured to count the number of horticultural products in transit.
ENDOSKELETAL METHOD FOR CORING, SLICING, AND PROPORTIONING SOFT-CORED OR PITTED FRUITS
A device and method for proportioning slices of fruit by slicing a piece of fruit into a number of slices using a endoskeletal slicing and coring device with twin-opposed coaxial upper and lower guide pins to positioning and holding the fruit, a coring tube for separating the fruit from the core, and a cassette for slicing the fruit and a proportioning device for separating the slices into a number of groups.
DESEEDING APPARATUS
Disclosed is a deseeding apparatus comprising a plurality of receptacles, each of which for receiving a seeded fruit therewithin, a plurality of vertical, elongate plungers, each of which axially movable between a default top and a bottom position, each plunger, as a result of the movement thereof from the top position to the bottom position, plunges through a fruit disposed within the receptacle thereof resulting in the fruit being deseeded at which point, the deseeded fruit clings onto the plunger as the plunger moves from the bottom position to the top position, a horizontal separator bar comprising a plurality of separator holes, each of which surrounding a plunger so that, as a plunger moves to the top position, the deseeded fruit clinging thereto is pushed against the separator plate resulting in the deseeded fruit being disengaged from the plunger, and a collect container for collecting the disengaged deseeded fruits.
