Virus-resistant tobacco and breeding method therefor
In order to provide tobacco resistant to a virus, tobacco in accordance with the present invention is arranged such that: (i) a translation initiation factor eIF(iso)4E protein which is non-functional with respect to a virus is produced or (ii) expression of a translation initiation factor eIF(iso)4E gene is suppressed; and (a) a translation initiation factor eIF4E2 protein, which is non-functional with respect to a virus, is produced or (b) expression of a translation initiation factor eIF4E2 gene is suppressed.

Method for controlling tobacco bacterial wilt and application of NaHS in controlling tobacco bacterial wilt
A method for controlling tobacco bacterial wilt and an application of NaHS in controlling the tobacco bacterial wilt are provided by the present disclosure, and the disclosure belongs to the technical field of plant disease control. By measuring the growth effect of Ralstonia solanacearum in tobacco through plate and shake bottle experiments, the disclosure finds the NaHS has an inhibiting effect on the growth of the pathogen of bacterial wilt; and the influence of different concentration of NaHS on the incidence of bacterial wilt in tobacco is detected, and the result also shows that NaHS has a good effect on resisting bacterial wilt in tobacco. The disclosure finds and proves for the first time that NaHS is an effective antibacterial substance against bacterial wilt and provides a new method for prevention and controlling of the tobacco bacterial wilt.

CURING BASKET
There is provided a basket (10) for receiving, transporting and curing tobacco leaves, the basket having a substantially cuboidal shape, having a base (110), opposing side walls (120, 130) rigidly attached to the base (110), and a back wall (140) rigidly attached to the base (110) and to the side walls (120, 130), the basket (10) being open to the front and to the top.
PLANT PREPARATION AND PROCESSING SYSTEM
A plant processing system may include an initial preparation apparatus for treating plant material prior to processing the plant material, and the initial preparation apparatus may be configured to lower a temperature of the plant material from an initial temperature to a lowered temperature. The system may also include a plant processing apparatus configured to process the plant material received from the initial preparation apparatus at approximately the lowered temperature. In some embodiments, the plant processing apparatus may be a plant stripping apparatus configured to detach constituent parts of the plant material from each other. In some embodiments, the plant processing apparatus may be a plant grinding apparatus configured to grind constituent parts of the plant material.
Attachable fan device
A fan device comprises a main body connected at a first axis and second axis to a first housing and second housing, respectively. The interior of first housing and second housing include a fan assembly. Fan assembly is operated by a switch on main body. Slats along the face of first and second housing allow airflow created by fan assembly to pass out of first and second housing. The direction of airflow can be adjusted by pivoting first housing and second housing downward from the horizontal plane upon which main body lies.
MOBILE TOBACCO RECEIVING STATION
A system, method, computer program product, and mobile receiving station for receiving and processing leaf tobacco at a location of a tobacco farmer, including processing the tobacco leaf at the location, including means for weighing and grading of the received tobacco leaf and, optionally, determining moisture content and transmitting information relating to the optionally determined moisture content, the weight, and the grade of the received tobacco leaf to a tobacco product manufacturing facility over a communications link.
