The disclosure provides methods of modulating release of water-soluble components from a composition situated with a cavity of an outer water-permeable pouch. Such release can be modulated, e.g., by modifying a packing density of the composition and/or by modifying a shape of the outer water-permeable pouch. Pouched products prepared according to such methods are also described.

Smokeless tobacco product

Some embodiments of a smokeless tobacco system include one or more silicone smokeless tobacco products configured to generally retain their shape during processing, shipping, and consumer handling. In particular embodiments, each silicone smokeless tobacco product can comprise a moist smokeless tobacco in combination with a silicone binder such that the final product has tobacco exposed along an exterior surface and is configured to have material properties providing improved handling, an improved mouth feel, and a satisfying flavor profile.

Flavour system

There is provided a flavour system for use in a tobacco industry product. The flavour system comprises lyophilised botanical material, an activator capable of releasing flavourant from the lyophilised botanical material through contact of the activator with the lyophilised botanical material, and a removable barrier preventing contact between the lyophilised botanical material and the activator. The barrier is removable to permit the activator to contact the lyophilised botanical material, thereby to cause release of the flavourant.

METHOD OF FLAVORING AND AGING SMOKING MATERIAL AND SMOKING ARTICLE MANUFACTURED USING THE SAME

An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method of flavoring and aging smoking materials, the method including: adding a flavoring, which is diluted in a base solution, to a smoking material; and aging the smoking material, to which the flavoring is added, under constant temperature and humidity conditions.

Snuff composition

Use of a nicotine-cellulose combination for the preparation of a snuff composition for achievement of a fast onset of action of nicotine after application of the snuff composition to the oral cavity of a subject, wherein the composition has a high release rate so that when subjected to an in vitro dissolution test about 45% or more of the total content of nicotine is released within 30 minutes. Moreover, the invention relates to an improved snuff composition for application to the oral cavity.

According to one embodiment, a method of producing a tobacco molded article, includes formulating a tobacco kneaded material by kneading a tobacco mixture containing a tobacco raw material, a binder and water, molding the tobacco kneaded material to obtain a molded body and adding a flavor to the molded body.

Oral pouched snuff product

The present disclosure relates to an oral pouched snuff product comprising a filling material and a saliva-permeable pouch enclosing the filling material, the oral pouched snuff product having a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction perpendicular to said longitudinal direction, the saliva-permeable pouch comprising a first elongated seal and a second elongated seal, each of said first and second elongated seals having a seal length extending along the transverse direction of the product and a seal width extending along the longitudinal direction of the product, wherein the seal width of said at least one elongated seal being equal to or less than 2 mm, such as within the range of from 0.1 mm to 2 mm or from 0.1 mm to 1 mm or from 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm. There is also provided a container having a base and a detachable lid together providing an interior container space in which a plurality of these oral pouched snuff products is contained.
