Embodiments of the present invention relate to a neck gaiter having a chewing surface attached to a part of the neck gaiter. The gaiter is designed for individuals on the Autism Spectrum who chew objects to satisfy their self-stimulatory behavior needs. This is a form of self-stimulation which can relieve anxiety, reduce fear and combat sensory overload. The gaiter is sized and proportioned to comfortably and releasably encompass the neck of the individual who will be wearing the gaiter. A textured chewing surface is attached to a central region of the gaiter. The chewing surface is made of non-toxic, tasteless material that does not erode during the chewing process, such as rubber, plastic, silicone, or a combination thereof. The chewing surface preferably comprises a plurality of indentations or protrusions to produce a textured surface.

A face and neck cover includes a fabric tube having an inner surface and a droplet filter attached to the inner surface. The droplet filter includes a first filter layer, a second filter layer joined to the first filter layer along a first fold, and a third filter layer joined to the first filter layer along a second fold. The third filter layer is in contact with the inner surface of the fabric tube. A first filter pocket for holding an optional removable filter medium is formed between the second filter layer and the third filter layer. A second filter pocket is formed between the third filter layer and the inner surface of the fabric tube. The first, second, and third filter layers are preferably integrally formed from one continuous sheet of fabric folded and attached to the fabric tube.

In another embodiment, a method of protecting hair of a user includes: reaching a first hand through the sleeve; grasping the hair of the user with the first hand; pulling the hair of the user into the lumen; grasping the band with a second hand; sliding the band over a head of the user; aligning the middle segment of the band over a hairline of the user; and tying the first end to the second end of the band.

A protective garment, such as a scarf, is provided having a first section and a second section that are detachable from one another. The first section, when detached, forms a fabric tube that may be worn over a user's nose and mouth as a gaiter or religious face and head covering for providing air filtration, while the second section continues to be worn as a garment. The first and second sections may then be reattached to again form a continuous garment. The first section may include an air filter pocket for insertion of a removable air filter to provide increased filtration. The second section may include accessory pockets.

A neck warmer with adjustable function comprises a warmer body with first opening and second opening; and a first ear accommodating hole and a second ear accommodating hole, which can be hung on the ear so that the warmer body adopts single-layer waring form, or fold the warmer body in half, hang the first and second ear accommodating holes on the ears, so that the warmer body adopts a double-layer wearing form.
