HEAT ACTIVATED ADHESIVE TAPES FOR JOINING FABRIC SEGMENTS
The application discloses a tape for stitchless joining of fabric sections. In some embodiments the tape is heat activated and includes a thermostable liner and a layer of dry latex of polyurethane with a crosslinker. Methods of manufacturing and using the tape are also disclosed.
ELECTROADHESIVE ACTUATORS WITH EXTENDED LIFE
An adaptive wearable article can include an electroadhesive clutch secured to a textile and extending around at least a portion of an opening. The clutch can include a first conductive member and a first polymeric substrate applied to the first conductive member and having a stiffness greater than a stiffness of the first conductive member, and the clutch can include a second electrode assembly comprising a second conductive member configured to partially overlay the first conductive member. The second electrode assembly can include a second conductive member and a second polymeric substrate applied to the second conductive member, the second polymeric substrate having a stiffness greater than a stiffness of the second conductive member, wherein the first and second conductive members are proximate each other with the first and second polymeric substrates distal with respect to each other.
CLOTHING ALTERATION DEVICE AND METHOD
A clothing alteration device may include an elongated body having a first side and an opposing second side. One or more adhesive surfaces may be disposed on the first side that may be formed by an adhesive material. The device may also include one or more non-adhesive surfaces which may comprise portions of the first side to which adhesive material has not been applied. Preferably, the device may comprise two or more adhesive surfaces that may be separated from each other by a non-adhesive surface. The body may comprise a resilient material which is able to regain its shape after deformation so that the adhesive surface(s) and non-adhesive surface(s) may likewise regain their shape after deformation. The body may be stretched and adhered to portions of a garment, and once adhered, the body may be released thereby gathering the portions of the garment that the device is adhered to.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF APPAREL MANUFACTURING USING ADHESIVE BONDING
Embodiments include methods of making a fabric laminates including depositing a first and a second columns of discrete adhesive masses on a first layer of fabric, wherein the first and second columns of discrete adhesive masses are separated by a first gap area, and placing a second layer of fabric on the first layer of fabric sandwiching the first and second columns of discrete adhesive masses, and applying pressure to all layers to form a fabric laminate structure while maintaining the first gap area unobstructed and forming a tunnel area between the first gap area and the first and second fabric layers. In some embodiments, ribbons may be pulled through the tunnels. In some embodiments, the tunnels include batting material. In some embodiments, films are placed on the first or second fabric layer and they imprint their surface finish onto the discrete adhesive masses wetting the surface of the fabric layers.
