String guide module and use thereof in a machine with a string puller
The present application for Patent of Invention describes a strand guide module which enables the use of locks to be fully eliminated for adjusting the waist, considerably improving the quality and comfort of the footwear, besides economizing raw materials and improving productivity. The purpose of the object of the invention is to allow for longitudinal, latitudinal and angular adjustment of the pulling vector of the strands, particularly the longitudinal positional adjustment along the last (F), including modularity characteristics.

System and method for forming custom insoles for use in footwear
Systems and methods for forming a custom fitted shoe insole. The method includes placing a shoe insole template plate proximate a heating element that heats the shoe insole template plate to a temperature sufficient to make it deformable. The method further includes placing the sufficiently heated shoe insole template plate onto a foam structure, placing a foot of a user on the heated shoe insole template plate, and applying foot pressure to the heated shoe insole template plate, causing it to deform to match a topology of the sole of the user's foot. The shoe insole template plate is then removed from the foam structure, cooled and hardened, and inserted into a shoe as the custom fitted shoe insole.

System and method for forming an article
A fusing system includes an upper member and a base member. The upper member includes a pressing layer and the base member is associated with a last member. The pressing layer has a contoured portion that approximates the shape of a portion of the last member. The upper member can be associated with the base portion and a vacuum can be applied so that the pressing layer is pulled down onto materials disposed on the last member for purposes of fusing the materials together to form articles, such as articles of footwear.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIGHT-WEIGHT WATERPROOF SHOE/BOOT
A method for manufacturing a light-weight waterproof shoe/boot includes steps of cutting waterproof leather, arranging and stacking vamp section, forming through hot pressing, sewing heel section, hot-pressing heel section, combining midsole, and injecting sole to accompany fabrication of a waterproof shoe/boot, in which fabrication of a vamp section and a shaft section is accomplished through hot pressing the waterproof leather that is coated with a hot-melt adhesive; a sewing line of a heel section is covered by a heel water-resistant plate that is attached thereto through hot pressing to provide an effect of waterproofness; and a sewing line between a midsole and the vamp section is covered by an upper rim of a sole to achieve an effect of waterproofness. The vamp section and the shaft section are made with the waterproof leather that is light and thin so that the weight of the waterproof shoe/boot is greatly reduced.

METHOD FOR REALISING A SHOE AND A SHOE OBTAINED WITH THE METHOD
A shoe has an upper, an insole, and a bottom with a base having an edge extending vertically upwards to define a perimeter abutment. A method of making the shoe includes providing an open upper, bringing into contact an internal perimeter edge of the upper with the insole, placing a first seam between the upper and the insole to obtain an insole-upper unit, and positioning the same in the bottom so that a lower portion of the insole-upper unit abuts the bottom and the perimeter portion of the insole-upper unit abuts the internal face of the perimeter abutment, obtaining an insole-upper-bottom assembly. References are marked on the external side of the upper of the insole-upper-bottom assembly adjacent the edge of the bottom's perimeter abutment to guide positioning of the insole-upper-bottom assembly, with placement of a second seam joining the bottom to the upper of the insole-upper unit.
