An adjustable lower back restoration device comprising an elevated base portion and a set of leg receiving channels divided by an upwardly upstanding central portion to position the legs of the user bent at the knees at approximately 90 degrees. The base has a height adjustment system to adjust the height of the base to the length of the upper legs of the user.

In one embodiment, a method of supporting the neck of a user when the user is laying on his or her back includes: obtaining a neck support device including first and second leg attachment portions, a head cradle, and a first coupling portion attaching the first leg attachment portion to the head cradle and a second coupling portion attaching the second leg attachment portion to the head cradle; attaching the first leg attachment portion to the first leg or foot of the user; attaching the second leg attachment portion to the second leg or foot of the user; and arranging the head cradle on a back portion of a user's head such that the user's head is held in tension.

A cushion cover includes a first chamber that includes at least one sheet, wherein the first chamber is configured to house a cushion that includes air pockets. A second chamber is sealed to the first chamber, wherein the second chamber includes a closed back end, a closed top, a closed bottom, a pair of closed sides, and an open front end. A panel, which includes at least one hole, is sealed to the first chamber and facing the open end of the second chamber. A handle is provided that includes a longitudinal strap adjoining a pair of side panels, wherein the pair of side panels are sealed to the first chamber, wherein upon a force being applied to the first chamber, air contained in the air pockets of the cushion flows through the at least one hole in the panel and into the second chamber without exiting the second chamber.

A leg pillow having an upper edge and lower edge and two convex curved side edges, wherein a recess is defined in the middle of the leg pillow. The leg pillow also includes leg support indentations at the upper edge. The leg support indentations are on both the top and bottom side of the leg pillow to provide support and proper body alignment for side sleeping individuals.

A knee pillow assembly for relieving lower back pain while sleeping includes a sleeve that can be worn around a user's knee. The sleeve has a knee opening extending through the sleeve to accommodate the user's knee cap when the sleeve is worn around the user's knee. A pair of cushions is each coupled to the sleeve. Each of the cushions is offset with respect to the knee opening such that each of the cushions is positioned on an inner side of the user's leg when the sleeve is worn around the user's knee. Each of the cushions has a substantial thickness to space the user's legs apart from each other when the user sleeps on their side for relieving lower back pain.

A lift and position device and adapter and methods of use therewith designed to aid attendants in moving and propping the various selected body parts of a patient from atop a support surface, for example, a mattress or hospital bed. The device utilizes a base for stability, a separately powered screw jack, radial adjustment head, a cushion cradle and a single or plurality of fitted cushion(s) configured to optimally raise and lower a particular body part of a patient such as his or her arms, torso, legs, back and the like. An adapter device may optionally re-orient the lift and positioning device, as appropriate, to suit the specific needs of an attendant wishing to the lift, shift, position or prop and secure a particular body part of a patient.

A knee cushion is disclosed which includes an integral foam member having a first major surface, an oppositely aligned second major surface, at least one side wall joining the first major surface to the second major surface. Leg depressions are formed in both the first and second major surfaces. The leg depressions are arranged in the shape of a modified peace symbol. The leg depressions permit a person to position the knee cushion between their knees while sleeping on their side to assist in aligning their hips and for keeping their spine straight. The integral foam member also includes a circular depression located in a central portion of the modified peace symbol on both the first and second major surfaces. Lastly the integral foam member has an Indentation Force Deflection at 25% of from between about 8 pounds-force to about 18 pounds-force.

A comfort positioning pillow for use with a user's foot is provided. The pillow includes a first side surface; a second side surface; a flat front surface disposed between the first and second side surfaces; a flat back surface disposed between the first and second side surfaces, wherein the flat back surface is positioned at an angle relative to the flat front surface; a top surface disposed between the first and second side surfaces, wherein the top surface is convex-shaped; and a bottom surface disposed between the first and second side surfaces, and disposed between the flat front surface and the flat back surface. One or more methods of using the pillow are also provided.

A bed system for supporting at least one user in a face down orientation comprises a mattress system and a base system. The mattress system defines at least one sleeping surface and at least one opening. The base system is configured to support the mattress system such that a fresh air space is formed under the opening. The mattress system is configured to support the at least one user in the face down orientation with at least a portion of the at least one user being arranged within the at least one opening.
