An electrical cord receiving anti-fatigue mat assembly includes a panel that has a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter edge. The panel is comprised of a resiliently compressible material. The bottom side has a trough therein with the trough having a pair of ends each comprising an opening extending through the perimeter edge. The trough receives an electrical cord such that the bottom side abuts and is flush with a floor surface when the electrical cord is positioned within the trough and extends through each of the openings. The trough has a depth and width each being greater than 0.40 inches.
Installation of Floorcovering Article on Chemically Abated Flooring Surface and Composite Article
The present invention relates to the installation of floorcovering articles on chemically abated flooring surfaces and the composite article resulting therefrom. More specifically, the invention relates to a process for chemical removal of mastic, putty and/or paste material from a flooring surface. The process includes applying abatement chemical to the mastic material on the flooring surface to soften the mastic material and cause it to physically separate and release from the flooring surface, removal of the mastic material and abatement chemical, and the subsequent application of a barrier coating to the flooring surface. The barrier coating reduces and/or eliminates the migration of residual abatement chemicals into floorcovering articles thereinafter installed on the chemically abated flooring surface. The resulting composite article is comprised of a chemically abated flooring surface containing pores, at least one abatement chemical in said pores, a polymer-containing barrier material, and a floorcovering article.

The present invention discloses a production method of continuous carpet mat, it includes the following process steps: providing carpet, buffering, commence gluing, drying, and commence pressing and cutting. A floor mat with improved rigidity and non-slip surfaces is disclosed. The floor mat includes a bottom surface with an interior cavity that has within it a plurality of interior walls that intersect with one another, thereby increasing rigidity of the floor mat. The floor mat also includes a plurality of nubs at the intersections of the interior walls that increase friction with the flooring of an automobile, thereby improving the non-slip characteristics of the floor mat.

An example method for forming a pile fabric includes: providing a primary backing material (configured as a sheet), a layer of thermoplastic material (disposed at the back side of the primary backing material), and a plurality of pile tufts extending through the primary backing material and at least partially into the layer of thermoplastic material with back stitch portions of the pile tufts being disposed at the back side of the primary backing material; and heating only the back of the pile fabric to melt the back stitch portions of the pile tufts and the layer of thermoplastic material to form a melt bond disposed at the back side of the primary backing material to secure the pile tufts to the primary backing material.

A multi-height deck mat including a first platform having a first top surface, a first bottom surface and a first end surface extending therebetween; a second platform disposed adjacent the first platform and having a second top surface and a second bottom surface and a second end surface extending therebetween; and a hinge connecting the first platform and the second platform for movement of the first and second platforms relative to one another, the hinge element being adjacent the first end surface and the second end surface, whereby the first platform and the second platform can be moved between a first disposition wherein the first end surface is in abutment with the second end surface wherein the deck mat provides a first height; and a second disposition wherein the first platform and the second platform assume a stacked relationship wherein the deck mat provides a second height.

Various embodiments are directed to an airline carpet kit comprising a plurality of carpet components collectively forming a substantially continuous floor covering, for example, for use within an aircraft interior. Each of the plurality of carpet components comprises a tufted carpet backing having a plurality of carpet tufts extending from a back surface of the carpet backing and above a top surface of the carpet backing; and an edge strip comprising an amorphous plastic material, wherein the edge strip extends around a lateral edge of the carpet backing between a base portion embedded within a back surface of the carpet backing and an edge surface defining a perimeter edge of the carpet component. The edge surface of a first carpet component abuts an edge surface of an adjacent second carpet component to form an at least substantially continuous floor covering for an aircraft interior.
Floor construction with variable grade of resilience
The present invention is related to a floor construction. To provide a floor that is able to serve the different aspects of the use and the user himself, in particular to aspects related to longer standing periods, a floor construction is proposed that comprises a resilient layer (12) with a variable resilience and an adapting surface (14) and means for varying the grade of resilience. In one exemplary embodiment the resilient layer (12) comprises a cavity structure with a number of cavities (18). The cavities (18) are filled with a medium (20) with a variable flexibility. The medium (20) is enclosed in a number of containers 22 with a flexible, non-expandable envelope and the flexibility of the medium can be modified.
