A magnetic fastener and wall covering system include at least one wall panel having a front facing surface, a metallic rear facing surface and a side surface forming any number of different shapes. A plurality of wall fasteners and wall anchors are provided to penetrate and engage a wall. A plurality of magnetic washers are provided having a central aperture for receiving one of the plurality of wall fasteners, and for attracting to the metallic rear surface of the wall panel. The system also includes one or more wall strips having a magnetic top surface and an adhesive back surface.

The present invention proposes a cap for forming a sealed cavity around one end of a fastener to thereby contain out-gassing and sparking events in the event of a lightning strike to the fastener. The invention also proposes a joint comprising such a cap, and a kit of parts and method for installing such a cap. A cap according to the invention comprises: an inner cap member having an annular base terminating at an edge which surrounds an opening into an air cavity for enclosing the one end of a fastener; and an outer cap member having an annular skirt or flange which extends radially outwardly away from the annular base, the annular skirt or flange and annular base between them defining an annular sealing cavity. The cap also comprises a sealing material inlet comprising an opening in the outer cap member that is in fluid communication with the annular sealing cavity, the opening being arranged to interconnect with a sealing material injection device to provide a flow of curable sealing material from the sealing material inlet into the annular sealing cavity. The outer cap member has an inner surface formed with a first locking feature, and the inner cap member has an outer surface formed with a second locking feature which forms a snap-fit joint with the first locking feature.

A joint is disclosed having a structure, a fastener passing through the structure with an end of the fastener protruding from the structure, and a cap installed on the end of the fastener. The end of the fastener includes an axially extending shaft, a fastener head carried by the shaft, and one or more washers located between the fastener head and the structure, the one or more washers spacing the fastener head and the structure apart by a distance. The cap has a cap body with a cavity which encloses the end of the fastener, and the joint further comprises a cured sealing material which seals the cavity. One of the fastener head and the cap body is formed with two or more first locking features which are axially spaced apart by a pitch.

An occurrence of thermal distortion when heterogenous materials are joined together is suppressed. Provided is a joining structure that includes a first member, a second member, a rivet and a resin-filled portion. The first member is formed of a first material. The second member is formed of a second material that is different from the first material. The rivet penetrates through at least the first member and joins the first member and second member together. The resin-filled portion is provided around the rivet at a side of the first member at which the second member is disposed. The resin-filled portion is formed by at least one of the first member and the second member and forms a gap between the first member and the second member. A resin member is disposed inside the resin-filled portion.

A threaded plug includes a structure which extends along an axis and includes a head, a body provided with an outer thread, and a clamping flange inserted between the head and the body; wherein the head includes, along the axis, at least one first portion having an outer lateral surface which features a first profile and at least one second portion having an outer lateral surface which features a second profile which is not coincident with the first profile.

The present invention is directed to an apparatus for securing brush to a fixed wooden object to create a hunting blind, the apparatus having a screw having a head and a tip at opposing ends of the screw, the head having a head diameter; and a flange secured to the screw proximate the head, the flange being substantially circular and having a top surface, a base, a flange diameter at least twice the head diameter, a plurality of protrusions situated about an outer edge of the flange, a plurality of recesses, each of the plurality of recesses being disposed about the outer edge of the flange between two of the protrusions and each of the plurality of recesses being configured to receive a user's palm, thumb, and/or fingers to rotate the apparatus, and one or more holes or indentations positioned on or adjacent to at least one of the protrusions.

The aesthetic fastener is similar to a regular screw but with a thicker and threaded head to receive the aesthetic cap or cover. Additionally, the aesthetic fastener comprises an attachment that allows the fastener to accept aesthetic caps or covers that are larger in diameter than the diameter of the head of the aesthetic fastener. Further, the aesthetic fastener includes an attachment that allows a user to easily hang items on to the aesthetic fastener with the aesthetic cap or cover on the aesthetic fastener.
