Visual tooth cleaning, grinding and polishing instrument
A visual tooth cleaning, grinding and polishing instrument includes a host, an oral observation instrument and a cleaning and polishing tool. The host can drive the cleaning and polishing tool and supply a power source and a control system for an illuminating system, an observation system and the oral observation instrument. A picture shot by a camera of the observation system can be transmitted to a display of the observation system in time, so as to achieve the purposes of cleaning the teeth while observing a process of cleaning the dental calculus, dental plaque and pigmentation on the surface of the teeth with the cleaning and polishing tool and the cleaning effect instantly on a mobile phone, thereby effectively cleaning, grinding and polishing the teeth. A flusher or an electric toothbrush head or other interdental cleaning tools may also be mounted on the host or the oral observation instrument.
DYNAMIC SEAL FOR USE IN A DENTAL HANDPIECE
A dynamic seal for use in a dental handpiece is disclosed. The dynamic seal includes a seal carrier including a first portion having a first feature for receiving a first compliant member and a second portion having a second feature for receiving a second compliant member, and a flange disposed between the first feature and the second feature.
PREVENATIVE DENTAL HARD TISSUE LASER TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
In one aspect, embodiments relate to a system for preventative dental laser treatment that ensures even irradiation of a laser beam. The system includes, a laser arrangement configured to generate the laser beam. The laser beam has one or more of a super-Gaussian energy profile and a transverse ring mode. The system also includes a focus optic. The focus optic is configured to converge the laser beam with a numerical aperture of 0.1 or less to a focal region. The system also includes a hand piece configured to direct the laser beam at a surface of a dental hard tissue. The system additionally includes a controller. The controller is configured to control one or more parameters of the laser source, such that a portion of the surface of the dental hard tissue is heated to a temperature in a range between 400° Celsius and 1300° Celsius.
ELECTRIC FIELD GENERATING DEVICE FOR ORAL CARE AND ORAL CARE DEVICE INCLUDING SAME
An electric field generating device for oral care of the present invention includes: at least one electrode configured to receive a driving signal and generate an electric field corresponding to the driving signal; and a signal supply part configured to generate the driving signal by mixing an AC signal and a DC signal and supply the driving signal to an electrode.
ELECTRIC FIELD GENERATING DEVICE FOR ORAL CARE AND ORAL CARE DEVICE INCLUDING SAME

ORAL CARE DEVICE AND METHOD
An oral care device (8) adapted to generate an RF field for performing an oral cleaning function. The device includes a cleaning unit (10) for receipt in the mouth which includes a conductor arrangement (18, 19) which is driven with a drive signal to generate an RF field which cleans surfaces in the mouth. Means is further provided for sensing an electrical or electromagnetic signal arising from interaction of the RF energy with bodies in the mouth, for performing a sensing function with the same RF system components used for generating the RF field for cleaning or treatment.

DISPOSABLE PROPHY ANGLE
The present invention relates to a disposable dental appliance and, more particularly, a dental prophy angle used for cleaning and polishing teeth, especially, a prophy angle for holding a disposable polishing/cleaning cup-head/brush-head that is disposed after each application to a patient to prevent potential cross contamination. The disposable prophy angle for a handpiece preferably comprises an elongated tubular housing, a drive shaft, a driven gear rotor, and a prophy cup/brush-head. The tubular housing has a longitudinal and a transverse section in one integral piece with a proximal end adapted to couple to a standard dental handpiece. The housing further has an extrusion-molded socket on its top inner surface. The housing has a horseshoe-like locker to position the drive shaft gear against the driven rotor gear. The driven rotor comprises a rotor head, a rotor neck, a driven rotor gear, a cup flange, a cup neck, and a cup holder.
Manual oral care implement
A manual oral care implement comprises a handle, a connector and a head, the head being repeatedly attachable to and detachable from the handle via the connector. The handle has a distal end and a proximal end opposite to the distal end and adjacent to the head when the head is attached to the handle. The proximal end has an upper surface that is at least partially chamfered. The handle has a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional area extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The chamfered surface and the cross-sectional area define therebetween an angle α from about 15° to about 30°.
