Pump cassettes, wound-treatment apparatuses and methods. In some embodiments, a pump cassette comprises: a pump body having a pump chamber, an inlet valve in fluid communication with the pump chamber, and an outlet valve in fluid communication with the pump chamber; a diaphragm coupled to the pump body such that the diaphragm is movable to vary a volume in the pump chamber; and an identifier configured to store one or more properties of the pump cassette such that the identifier is readable by an automated reader to determine the one or more properties. In some embodiments, the pump cassette is configured to be removably coupled to a wound-treatment apparatus having an actuator such that the actuator can be activated to move the diaphragm.
PHARMACEUTICAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A pharmaceutical management system includes: at least one pharmaceutical storage box to store at least one pharmaceutical having corresponding at least one IC tag attached thereto; a reading device to read information stored in the IC tag, the information representing the pharmaceutical; a controller to obtain the information of the IC tag from the reading device, to manage the pharmaceutical; and a pharmaceutical refrigerator to store the pharmaceutical storage box to refrigerate the pharmaceutical, the controller including a first and second entry/exit monitoring unit to monitor entry/exit of the pharmaceutical into/from the pharmaceutical storage box; and after monitoring by the first entry/exit monitoring unit, a state of entry of the pharmaceutical into the pharmaceutical storage box is determined based on a result of monitoring by the second entry/exit monitoring unit.
Tactical medicine dispensers
A portable medicament case that includes a medicament provided in a package, and first and second housing members that are configured to form a medicament package receiving cavity when joined together. Each housing member including a mating member that is configured for engagement with the other housing member in order to join the first and second housing members together in a sealed configuration that prevents moisture or contaminants from entering into the cavity. Also, a magazine containing a plurality of medicament cases for administration of medicaments to a group of people, and a method of administering medications to mass casualties of multiple persons that are in need thereof. The medicaments are rapidly disintegratable and can include a dye that stains the person's mouth so that medical personnel can determine who has been treated with the medicament.
Integrated container and dosing device for liquid medication delivery
A medication delivery apparatus including a container and a paired delivery device removably attached to the container, wherein a fluid passageway between the container and the delivery device permits fluid medication to be transferred from the container to the delivery device to then be dispensed from the delivery device. The delivery device is rotatable between first and second operative positions with respect to the container, the first operative position for filling the delivery device with a predetermined dosage of a liquid medication and the second operative position for dispensing the predetermined dosage from the delivery device. The first and second operative positions of the delivery device may correspond with respective inverted and upright positions of the container.
Verification system for a pharmacy packaging system
A method and verification system for verifying pharmaceuticals packaged within a pouch using a pharmacy packaging system. The method includes activating a first light source to illuminate the pharmaceutical pouch, capturing a first image of the pharmaceutical pouch while illuminated by the first light source, activating a second light source to illuminate the pharmaceutical pouch, and capturing a second image of the pharmaceutical pouch while illuminated by the second light source. The method further includes generating a third image based on the first image and the second image, generating a dashboard to simultaneously display first images, second images, and third images from a plurality of pharmaceutical pouches, providing a number of pills indication of a number of pills detected in the pouch against a number of pills expected in the pouch, and displaying the dashboard.
Medication disposal, treatment and reconciliation kiosk device
A medication disposal and reconciliation kiosk device and processor based system for collecting, identifying and measuring the amount of medication deposited in a collection container wherein the kiosk generates a coupon or other incentive that can be used to purchase new prescriptions, refills or other items, collects pills and liquid medications, including controlled medications such as opioids, chemically treats the collected medication with a non-toxic biodegradable solution or mixture for dissolving the medication, reports medicines collected to predetermined offices or agencies and collects the medication bottles and containers for recycling. The kiosk device includes a barcode reader, keyboard, pill counter, pill identifier, liquid medication collection bin, scale for weighing medication, biodegradable safe liquid for dissolving medication collected, receipt printout, and wireless electronic transmission circuitry or devices.
PROGRAMMABLE PILL DISPENSING DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
A programmable pill dispensing device, system, and methods are provided. A programmable pill dispensing device may be used to automatedly dispense a pill, such as a prescription medication, at a programmed predetermined time.
VERIFICATION SYSTEM FOR A PHARMACY PACKAGING SYSTEM
A pharmacy packaging system configured to dispense pharmaceuticals into a pharmaceutical pouch formed by a feed roll and including a verification system. The verification system includes a camera system configured to capture images in a visible spectrum and an infrared spectrum, a first light source configured to output an infrared spectrum light, a second light source configured to output a visible spectrum light, and a processor. The processor is operable to activate the first light source to illuminate the pharmaceutical pouch and capture a first image of the pharmaceutical pouch while illuminated by the first light source. The processor is also operable to activate the second light source to illuminate the pharmaceutical pouch and capture a second image of the pharmaceutical pouch while illuminated by the second light source. The processor is further operable to generate a third image based on the first image and the second image.
INTERNAL ELEMENT FOR A FEEDING BOTTLE
An internal element (310) for a feeding bottle (100) is provided, the feeding bottle comprising a teat component (110), and a container component (120), which together define a bottle volume extending longitudinally between abase end of the container component, and a top end of the teat component. The internal element (310) comprises a disc element (620) configured to be positioned within the bottle volume extending transverse the longitudinal axis, and further comprises one or more tab elements (640) protruding from an outer periphery (630) of the disc element for being received between interfacing parts of a coupling arrangement (340, 342) of the bottle.
