FIT-CHECKING APPARATUS
A respirator fit-check apparatus has an air pressure sensor adapted, in use, to sense the air pressure within a sealed interior volume of a close-fitting respirator; an indicator adapted, in use, to indicate instructions and test results to a wearer of the respirator; and a CPU, the apparatus being configured to monitor the air pressure within the respirator and to determine and indicate whether or not the respirator seals to the face of a wearer based on a vacuum decay over a specified period of time. The apparatus may also be configured to monitor the breathing depth and/or rate of the wearer subsequent to a fit-check determination.

AIR/GAS SAMPLING APPARATUS FOR COMPRESSED AIR/GAS SOURCES
An air/gas sampling apparatus is used to retrieve, store, and ship an air/gas sample from a high-pressure air/gas source. The air/gas sampling apparatus includes a filter housing having a filter housing inlet segment and a filter housing outlet segment. The filter housing inlet segment has an inlet orifice and defines a flow restrictor passage and is removably connected to the filter housing outlet segment, defining a filter chamber at a flow restrictor passage outlet where the filter chamber holds a filter pad. As the entirety of the air/gas sample flows into the flow restrictor passage and through the filter pad to ensure the quality of the test of the air sample, the flow restrictor passage reduces the air/gas sample flowing to the filter chamber. The filtered air/gas sample is consequently delivered to and stored in a sample bag that may be shipped to a testing facility for analysis.
Filter frame
A disc filter frame including a base member and a lever, said base member including, adjacent a first end thereof, a breathing aperture and a connection arrangement configured to connect to a respiratory device, said breathing aperture and connection arrangement being aligned so as to define an airflow channel therebetween; said lever being hingedly connected by a hinge mechanism at its proximal end to said base at said first end and including a sealing member shaped and configured to cover said breathing aperture, the lever being biased in a first position and selectively movable to a second position in which said sealing member seals said breathing aperture, the distal end of said lever being located and spaced apart from adjacent a second, opposing end of said base and configured to be manually pressed to move said sealing member from said first position to said second position.
Fit-test method for respirator with sensing system
A method of fit testing includes providing a respirator; providing a sensor having a sensing element removably positioned substantially within an interior gas space of the respirator; providing a reader configured to be in wireless communication with the sensor; positioning the respirator over a mouth and a nose of a user while the sensor is positioned substantially within an interior gas space of the respirator; and observing respirator fit assessment data communicated from the sensor to the reader.

Coupling device for mask test means
A coupling device for a mask test means is disclosed. Provided according to an embodiment of the present invention is a coupling device for a mask test means, comprising: a pressing member which can receive a first member of a mask test means on one side thereof and can move up and down; and a support member which can receive a second member of the mask test means on one side thereof and is disposed below the pressing member, wherein the support member includes a lower member having a perforation means for forming a perforation in a mask, and the pressing member includes an upper member into which at least a portion of the perforation means can be inserted.
ASSEMBLY FOR CHECKING THE ATMOSPHERE PREVAILING WITHIN A FIRST ENVIRONMENT ISOLATED FROM A SECOND ENVIRONMENT
An assembly for checking the atmosphere within a first environment isolated from a second environment, which differs by air quality and/or composition of the atmosphere. The assembly includes an isolation element for isolating the first environment from the second environment, a sampling device to collect elements present in the atmosphere within the first environment, and a suction device. The isolation element has an item of isolating personal protective equipment, and the sampling device includes a cassette defining a compartment having an inlet orifice as the sampling orifice and an outlet orifice as the connection orifice, which can be connected to the suction device, an element for capturing the elements being researched, interposed between the two orifices, in the compartment, the cassette further having an attachment element for mounting the sampling device on the isolating personal protective equipment, and the sampling orifice opening into the isolated first environment.
