Jacket/vest passenger restraint systems and methods
A passenger restraint system of a vehicle includes a passenger restraint article with an interface, and a locking device that secures the interface. In some embodiments, the vehicle includes a vertical channel that enables the locking device to travel up and down. The locking device may include a camera that enables the locking device to align with the interface, and once aligned, the locking device secures the interface. In additional or alternative embodiments, the locking device includes two C-bars and a biasing element that urges the locking device into an open position. When the passenger sits or leans against the opened C-bars, the force caused by the interface on the C-bars overcomes the force applied by the biasing element, urging the C-bars into a closed position. The locking device is then secured by engaging a locking bar that pushes against a surface of the C-bars.

INTEGRATED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT CONNECTOR ELEMENT FOR USE WITH A WEARABLE SAFETY HARNESS
Various embodiments are directed to backplates comprising a base portion attached to a strap of the wearable safety harness; and a connector element secured relative to the base portion and comprising a first safety device interface configured to engage a first safety device so as to couple the first safety device to the backplate. In various embodiments, the connector element is selectably detachable from the base portion. In various embodiments, the connector element comprises a second safety device interface configured to engage a second safety device so as to couple the second safety device to the backplate. In various embodiments, the connector element operably secures both the first safety device and the second safety device relative to the base portion. In various embodiments, the connector element operably secures a first safety device comprising a personal fall limitor and a second safety device comprising a D-ring relative to the base portion.
RELIEF APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
Various embodiments are directed to relief apparatuses and methods of using the same. In various embodiments, a relief apparatus may comprise a housing comprising an interior housing portion configured to store a relief step device therein, and an activation assembly configured to facilitate an automated deployment of the relief step device from within the interior housing portion in response to a fall occurrence, wherein the automated deployment of the at least a portion of the relief step device is based at least in part on a load force acting on at least a portion of the activation assembly, wherein the load force is defined at least in part by a force generated as a result of the fall occurrence. In various embodiments, a relief apparatus may comprise an activation assembly that enables both an automated deployment and a manual deployment of a relief step device in a fall condition.
RELIEF APPARATUS FOR MOBILITY AND SUSPENSION MITIGATION
A relief apparatus and method of use for providing a flexible connection point between straps of a harness and mitigating suspension trauma for a user of the harness. In various embodiments, the relief apparatus comprises a base plate comprising one or more base strap slots and a central cavity defined by a cavity wall protruding out of a plane of the base plate, and an upper plate comprising one or more upper strap slots and an aperture configured to fit around the cavity wall of the base plate. The base plate and the upper plate are arrange concentrically along a central axis and may be configured to each rotate about the central axis. The relief apparatus further comprises a relief step comprised of a line and having a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end being secured to a deployment feature.
SAFETY CLIMB ATTENUATION APPARATUS
A safety climb attenuation apparatus provides a more robust and visually inspectable apparatus for climbing safety. In an upper bracket, a pivot arm is attached to a base that is disposed upon a structure. The upper bracket includes an attenuation member such as an elastic bushing, mounted on the pivot arm or the base, that resists pivoting of the pivot arm relative to the base when a safety cable attached to the pivot arm causes the pivot arm to pivot. In a lower bracket, a similar attenuation member is attached to a base disposed on the structure, with an anchor bolt connecting the cable to the attenuation member so that the attenuation member resists upward movement of the cable.
ROPE LOCKING APPARATUS
A rope locking apparatus, comprising: a locking member (11) adapted to switching between a locked state and an unlocked state with a rope (100); a roller (22) adapted to being pressed against the surface of the rope (100) under the action of a pressing member; a rotating shaft (25) adapted to rotating along with the roller (22); a centrifugal member, which is mounted on the rotating shaft (25) and rotates along with the rotating shaft (25), wherein the centrifugal member switches between a centrifugal state and a reset state along with change in a centrifugal force; and a driving member, wherein the centrifugal member in the centrifugal state drives the driving member to move, so that the locking member (11) moves until same is in the locked state; and the centrifugal member in the reset state is separated from the driving member, so that the locking member (11) is in the unlocked state.
Fall-Protection Apparatus with Braking Device Comprising Flexure-Borne Pawl and Drum-Mounted Buttress
A fall-protection apparatus comprising a rotationally-activated braking device that comprises at least one flexure-borne pawl and at least one buttress that is on a sidewall of a rotatable drum of the braking device.
Work safety management system using safety belt unit for high-place work
The present disclosure relates to a work safety management system using a safety belt unit for high-place work, and safety during working at a high place can be enhanced by determining whether a worker has fastened a seat belt to a safety structure, and the location of the worker, whether the seat belt is fastened and whether the work is on progress can be monitored in real time from a remote location to prevent safety accidents.
Case or Cradle for a Fall Arrest Device
A case or support cradle for a fall arrest device has a shape or configuration enabling rolling of the case or cradle along an arcuate path. The rollable case or cradle allows the fall arrest device received therein to smoothly follow a user's movements around a work site, thereby protecting the device from damage due to dragging or scraping along a floor surface.
