POLE-GRIPPING MECHANISM AND MANNED POLE-CLIMBING WORK PLATFORM

Provided are a manned pole-climbing work platform and a pole-gripping mechanism thereof. The pole-gripping mechanism includes an arm and a distal pole-gripping mechanical hand. The distal pole-gripping mechanical hand includes a front jaw, a rear jaw, a forward-threaded rod, a reverse-threaded rod and a preloader. The front jaw and the rear jaw are articulated with the arm through pivots. The preloader is configured to drive the forward-threaded rod and the reverse-threaded rod to rotate synchronously. The forward-threaded rod and the front jaw are articulated with each other through a front thrust-nut composite pivot. The reverse-threaded rod and the rear jaw are articulated with each other through a rear thrust-nut composite pivot. The front jaw and the rear jaw are openable or closeable relative to each other.

A quickdraw for sport climbing includes two carabiners held together by a connecting element having a central region which ends in a loop for the carabiners at each of the two end regions. This connecting element is provided with at least one sensor in the central region between the loops or near to one of the loops. As a result of a minimal movement or touch of the quickdraw, the at least one sensor, triggered by use of the quickdraw, emits an electronic signal which is received by a base station communicating with a smartphone and/or a computer so that the signal can be processed, stored and compared with previously stored signals in order to show or graphically represent the corresponding values resulting therefrom on the display.

Self-climbing platform and method
20220364376 · 2022-11-17 ·

A self-climbing platform adapted to movably attach to, and hang from, a vertical structure for supporting a load with a cable connected to a main support connector comprising a retaining strap configured to surround at least a portion of the vertical structure, an adjustment lock attached to the retaining strap and a bracket. The bracket comprising an upper member connecting on one side to an adjustment bar and to a second side of a lower member to form a triangulated structure configured to a cantilevered position with respect to the vertical structure. The cable supporting the platform is connected to the bracket in a manner permitting transmission of the force required to support the self-climbing platform in a direction angled towards the vertical structure. The platform can rotate 360° around a tree or pole and can be used in forestry, civil or recreational fields.

TREE STICK MOUNT ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD

A tree stick mount attachment assembly includes a tree stick body. A panel has a front side, a back side, and a perimeter edge extending between the front and back sides. The backs side faces and is attached to the tree stick body. The perimeter edge has a plurality of slots therein and each of the slots extends through the front and back sides. The slots removably receive a tether extending around the tree to retain the tree stick body on the tree. The tether is attached to the tree stick body and extended around the tree. Thereafter, the tether is then extended into the slots to secure the tree stick body to the tree.
