Disclosed herein is a golf club head that comprises a body. The body comprises a sole portion, a crown portion, a skirt portion, and a face portion, positioned at a forward region of the golf club head, opposite a rearward region of the golf club head, and extending from a toe region to a heel region of the golf club head. At least a portion of the body is made of a titanium alloy. The golf club head also comprises a large weight, coupled to the sole portion of the body and made of a steel alloy. A mass of the large weight is at least 40% of a mass of the portion of the body made of the titanium alloy. A total mass of the large weight and the portion of the body made of the titanium alloy is at least 210 grams.

A resilient face insert for a golf club head, preferably a putter head, is disclosed herein. In particular, the face insert comprises a plurality of hinge features spaced from a striking surface to ensure consistent ball speed across the striking surface. At least a portion of each hinge feature extends parallel to the striking surface without making contact with the striking surface. In the preferred embodiment, each hinge feature comprises a tab portion that is spaced from the striking surface by a stem portion and that extends parallel to the striking surface. The hinge features may be co-molded with a polymeric backing material in order to further improve performance of the face insert.

Smart golf putter heads

A golf putter clubhead is designed with a unique structure using a geometry and a balance technology to provide super symmetry, harmony and balance at motion and at rest. The clubhead includes a body with triangular members, a putting face, and optional holes. The triangular form clubhead does not require compensation during the swing thus allowing for greater repetition and simplicity of movement in turn producing performance benefits via consistency. The geometric triangular shape of the clubhead provides an instantly recognizable assistance in proper alignment at the rest position. The body of the clubhead may be hollow and feature inner symmetrical structures to complement the form of the body and to enhance and provide superior weight distribution and balance, thus, providing a performance edge in swing consistency and performance, and allowing for repeatability of the clubhead.

Golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads

Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a recessed opening between a front opening and a back wall portion, a front plate portion coupled to the recessed opening to enclose a first interior cavity in the golf club head between the front plate portion and the back wall portion, a face portion coupled to a front portion to enclose a second interior cavity between the face portion and the front plate portion, a first filler material at least partially filling the first interior cavity, and a second filler material at least partially filling the second interior cavity. The first filler material and the second filler material have at least one different physical property. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

Golf club heads with ribs and related methods

Golf club heads with ribs are described herein. A golf club head comprises a first rib protruding from an interior surface of the club head, and a second rib protruding from the interior surface of the club head. The first rib comprises a first axis and the second rib comprises a second axis; wherein the first and second rib axes intersect each other forward the front end of the club head body. The club head further comprises a first side rib protruding from the interior surface of the heel end, and a second side rib protruding from the interior surface of the toe end. The first side rib and the second side rib generally extend in a front end to rear end direction, and can be linear or curvilinear. The ribs provide structural support and sound control for the club head.

A golf tip plug housing includes an exterior surface configured to be securably affixed to a butt end of a golf club shaft and an interior surface configured to securably receive a golf tip plug having an outer diameter of either: (a) 7.0 mm-7.6 mm or (b) 4.0 mm-4.6 mm. In one aspect, a golf club includes a head and a shaft having a tip end attached to the head and a butt end opposite the tip end. A tip plug includes a stem and a head. The tip plug stem has an outer diameter sized to be insertable in the tip end. A tip plug housing has an outer diameter sized to be insertable in the butt end and an inner diameter sized to receive the tip plug. The tip plug is positioned in the tip plug housing and the tip plug housing is positioned in the butt end.

Adjustable putter shaft stiffener

A golf club has a first shaft coupled to a club head, a second shaft configured to slidably engage a portion of the first shaft, a grip coupled to the second shaft, and an adjustable length shaft assembly received by the second shaft and configured to allow a portion of the first shaft to slide in relation to the second shaft in a first configuration, and to restrict a portion of the first shaft from sliding in relation to the second shaft in a second configuration. The grip is restricted from rotation about the first shaft or the second shaft as the first shaft slides in relation to the second shaft.

Systems and methods for a weighted golf club head

A golf club head that includes a body defining an interior cavity and an exterior surface, the body including a face disposed within a forward portion and extending between a toe and a heel, a sole defining a bottom portion of the golf club head, and a crown defining a top portion of the golf club head. The golf club head further includes a front weight assembly having a first weight removably secured with a first fastener and a second fastener, the front weight assembly being disposed forward of a head center of gravity. The first fastener is disposed on a heel side of the front weight center of gravity, and the second fastener is disposed on a toe side of the front weight center of gravity.
