Coating system having plurality of coating robots and operation robot having five arms and tip jig
A coating system includes coating robots configured to coat a vehicle, and an operation robot. The operation robot includes a first arm configured to turn around a first axis; a second arm configured to turn around a second axis parallel to the first axis; a third arm configured to turn around a third axis parallel to the first axis; a fourth arm configured to turn around a fourth axis perpendicular to the first axis; a fifth arm configured to turn around a fifth axis parallel to the fourth axis; and a tip jig is supported at the fifth arm and is configured to turn around a sixth axis. The sixth axis is selectively parallel to the fifth axis or perpendicular to a plane which includes the fourth axis and the fifth axis.
Line-of-sight coating fixture and apparatus
An embodiment of a line-of-sight coating fixture includes a support structure, a spindle, and a shadow structure. The support structure includes a plurality of compartments disposed below a platter, each compartment having an opening on a periphery of the support structure. Each compartment is adapted to receive and secure a base of a workpiece such that a body of each workpiece to be coated is disposed about a periphery of the support structure and extends above the platter. The spindle is disposed through a center of the platter or support structure for rotating the workpieces thereabout. The shadow structure is disposed about the spindle, inside of the periphery, the shadow structure sized and adapted to shield a portion of each workpiece from line-of-sight coating material.
APPARATUS FOR SURFACE TREATMENT OF A WORKPIECE IN A PRODUCTION LINE
An apparatus for surface treatment of a workpiece in a production line comprises a positioning frame (1) for the workpiece to be treated. The positioning frame has a coupling (3) for a positioning drive (4). In order to achieve an increase in the production cadence irrespective of the type of surface treatment without having to accept losses with regard to the surface quality of the coating, a hermetically sealable capsule (2) is supported against the positioning frame (1), which capsule (2) has connection lines (5) for the exchange of operating media with different operating medium supply units (6) arranged along the production line.

LOW-PARTICLE GAS ENCLOSURE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A method comprises processing a substrate in a gas enclosure to form a film on one or more portions of the substrate. The method further comprises, while processing the substrate, circulating gas along a circulation path through the gas enclosure. Circulating the gas may comprise flowing gas through an exhaust housing enclosing a printhead assembly housed in the gas enclosure and filtering the gas flowing downstream of the printhead assembly from the exhaust housing.
Coating system and associated operating method
The disclosure relates to an operating method for a coating system, in particular for a painting system, for coating components (2), in particular motor vehicle body components (2), having the following steps: conveying, by means of a conveying device (3), the components (2) to be coated in a conveying direction through a coating booth (1), coating the components (2) in the coating booth (1) with a coating product by means of an application device (17-19) which applies a spray jet of the coating product, a portion of the applied coating product being deposited on the components (2) to be coated while another portion of the applied coating product floats into the interior of the coating booth (1) as an excess coating product mist (21), and reducing the excess coating product mist (21) from the interior of the booth by means in addition to or other than the downwardly directed air flow generated by a filter ceiling. In addition, the disclosure includes a correspondingly designed coating system.

Thread coating using inkjet printhead
A method of coating threads using a printhead having rows of nozzles extending along a length of the printhead. The method includes the steps of: feeding the thread along a length of the printhead; and ejecting ink from the rows of nozzles towards the thread. Thread-coating modules and thread-coating systems make use of the method described.
