The present disclosure discloses a method of manufacturing a semi-cured gel nail for nail art, and more particularly, to a method of manufacturing a UV-C semi-cured nail cured by being irradiated with ultraviolet of a UV-C wavelength. A gel nail according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may have a smooth surface on which luster is maintained and no fingerprint marks or traces remain even when the gel nail comes in contact with a hand or a device.

TWO-COAT SINGLE CURE POWDER COATING

Methods and systems for coating metal substrates are provided. The methods and systems include sequential application of low flow and high flow powder coatings followed by a single heating step to provide a cured coating. The methods and systems include a marker that allows coating uniformity to be monitored and assessed during application. The disclosure relates to two methods to modify microneedles and needles to transform them as electrochemical sensors for ions and biomolecules. The methods focus on microneedles and needles made of any material through an external and internal modification methods to provide the function as electrodes: the working electrode, (pseudo)counter electrode and/or (pseudo)reference electrode depending on the electrochemical readout. With the external modification method, any solid microneedle and needle can be individually transformed in either of the said electrodes. With the internal modification method, any hollow microneedle and needle can be individually transformed in either of the electrodes. The working electrode, (pseudo)counter electrode and or (pseudo)reference electrode can be simultaneously integrated into the same hollow microneedle or needle by internal compartmentation. Two different biofluids can be simultaneously targeted by microneedles and needles of different sizes, structures and fabricated by one or both methods when integrated in the same skin patch.

Priming material for substrate coating

A coating technique and a priming material are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, the coating technique includes receiving a substrate and identifying a material of the substrate upon which a layer is to be formed. A priming material is dispensed on the material of the substrate, and a film-forming material is applied to the priming material. The priming material includes a molecule containing a first group based on an attribute of the substrate material and a second group based on an attribute of the film-forming material. Suitable attributes of the substrate material and the film-forming material include water affinity and degree of polarity and the first and second groups may be selected to have a water affinity or degree of polarity that corresponds to that of the substrate material and the film-forming material, respectively.

A method and apparatus for applying a faux wood grain finish to plastic architectural plastic boards. The method employs a climate-controlled area for denibbing of boards to prepare a surface and a sprayer to achieve a desired depth of color. A wiper spreads the sprayed on material to form a faux grain finish which may include faux wood knots. The boards are directed through a combination infrared and convection oven having independent curing zones providing specific drying profiles. Once cured, the boards are cooled with forced air cool down fans and transferred into a climate-controlled area for applying a topcoat. The topcoat board is passed through an oven set to a defined temperature for curing and cooled down with forced air cool down fans before packaging and shipping.
