THREE-DIMENSIONAL LAMINATING AND SHAPING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL LAMINATING AND SHAPING APPARATUS, AND CONTROL PROGRAM OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL LAMINATING AND SHAPING APPARATUS
A dissimilar material joined three-dimensional laminated and shaped object is shaped using a three-dimensional laminating and shaping apparatus. The three-dimensional laminating and shaping apparatus includes a material supplier that supplies materials of a three-dimensional laminated and shaped object to a shaping surface, an irradiator that irradiates the materials with a light beam, and a controller that controls the material supplier. The three-dimensional laminated and shaped object is a joined member obtained by joining dissimilar materials. The controller controls the material supplier to form a graded composition of the materials in a boundary region between the dissimilar materials of the three-dimensional laminated and shaped object.
CUTTING ELEMENTS COMPRISING A LOW-CARBON STEEL MATERIAL, RELATED EARTH-BORING TOOLS, AND RELATED METHODS
A method of forming a cutting element comprises disposing diamond particles in a container and disposing a metal powder on a side of the diamond particles. The diamond particles and the metal powder are sintered so as to form a polycrystalline diamond material and a low-carbon steel material comprising less than 0.02 weight percent carbon and comprising an intermetallic precipitate on a side of the polycrystalline diamond material. Related cutting elements and earth-boring tools are also disclosed.

Formation of spray based three-dimensional printing object using magnetic fluid
A method, computer system, and a computer program product for object modeling is provided. The present invention may include generating a temporary modeling structure based on at least a digital model and one or more printing preferences. The present invention may include sending printing instructions to a 3D printer based on the temporary modeling structure. The present invention may include receiving feedback from a sensory based system, the sensory based system monitoring a printing chamber of the 3D printer. The present invention may include updating the printing instructions based on an analysis of the feedback of the feedback received from the sensory based system.
MOULD FOR INJECTION MOULDING MADE BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
A mould for injection moulding is provided which has a mould body having a plurality of boundary surfaces, the plurality of boundary surfaces having at least one moulding surface configured to delimit a mould cavity. The mould body is made by additive manufacturing. The mould body has a functional domain portion on which the plurality of boundary surfaces and the moulding surface are formed, the functional domain portion being composed of a solid, continuous material structure covering a fraction of the mould body, and an application domain portion which is the complement of the functional domain portion in the mould body, the application domain portion being composed of a three-dimensional material lattice structure having an ordered repetition of unit cells including a periodic minimal surface. The at least one geometrical parameter of the periodic minimal surface is tuned locally to form unit cells with different densities of material.
Laser powder deposition weld rework for gas turbine engine non-fusion weldable nickel castings
A method of reworking an aerospace component includes removing a casting defect from a component manufactured of a non-fusion weldable base alloy to form a cavity. The cavity is then at least partially filled with a multiple of layers of discrete laser powder deposition spots of a filler alloy. A cast component for a gas turbine engine includes a cast component non-fusion weldable base alloy with a cavity filled with a multiple of layers of laser powder deposition spots of a filler alloy. The filler alloy may be different than the non-fusion weldable base alloy. A layer of non-fusion weldable base alloy is at least partially within the cavity and over the filler alloy.
Superhard constructions and methods of making same
A polycrystalline super hard construction has a first region having a body of thermally stable polycrystalline super hard material having a plurality of intergrown grains of super hard material; a second region forming a substrate having a hard phase and a binder phase; and a third region interposed between the first and second regions. The third region includes a composite material having a first phase comprising a plurality of non-intergrown grains of super hard material, and a matrix material. A fourth region interposed between the second and third region has a major proportion having one or more components of the binder material of the second region, and one or more reaction products between the binder material of the second region and one or more components of the third region.
Sputtering target
A sputtering target containing molybdenum and at least one metal from the group tantalum and niobium. The average content of tantalum and/or niobium is from 5 to 15 at % and the molybdenum content is greater than or equal to 80 at %. The sputtering target has at least a matrix with an average molybdenum content of greater than or equal to 92 at % and particles which are composed of a solid solution containing at least one metal from the group of tantalum and niobium, and molybdenum, with an average molybdenum content of greater than or equal to 15 at % and are embedded in the matrix. There is also described a method of producing a sputtering target.
