Cutting tool assembly having clamp assembly comprising a clamp and a coolant plate

A clamp assembly to secure a cutting insert to a holder that includes a clamp that has a distal end and a clamp projection depending from the distal end of the clamp. There is a coolant plate that has a top plate surface and a bottom plate surface wherein the top plate surface contains a recess that receives the clamp projection upon assembly of the clamp and the coolant plate. The bottom plate surface contains a bowl having an open bowl end wherein in operation the bowl directs coolant through the open bowl end toward the cutting insert. The assembly has a positioner extending between the clamp and the coolant plate so as to maintain a position of the clamp relative to the coolant plate upon the assembly of the clamp and the coolant plate.

A self-cutting, self-seating, self-securing electrical device is used for mounting lights and devices. It can be provided as an integral one piece box, with a saw ring blade provided as part of the round electrical work box, or the device can be provided without the built-in cutting saw ring blade, which is therefore provided as an add-on accessory which snaps into place within channel located along the top and channels on opposite sides of the downwardly extending round wall of the body of the self-seating electrical device. The self-seating electrical device also has two or more fasteners, such as three toggle swing clamps, to secure the electrical device in place in a cutout in a ceiling or interior or exterior wall panel, where the cutout is cut by the forward saw teethed blade edge of the electrical device.

A toolholder has a plurality of receptacles for at least one respective cutting insert. For each receptacle, the toolholder comprises a clamping element associated with the receptacle and a hydraulic channel associated with the corresponding clamping element. Each clamping element is hydraulically adjustable between a closed position and an opened position via the associated hydraulic channel. Furthermore, the toolholder is configured such that the clamping elements in the closed position clamp the associated cutting inserts into the corresponding receptacle for the cutting operation and thus fix them to the toolholder and release them in the opened position so that the cutting inserts can be detached from the toolholder, in particular in a tool-free manner. Furthermore, a cutting tool is provided having a toolholder according to any one of the preceding claims and at least one cutting insert.

A tool holder has a main body with a holder head extending away from a holder shank, the holder head having an insert receiving pocket at a forward end thereof, with a pocket support surface. A clamping member is retained in the holder head, the clamping member comprising a clamping shaft longitudinally extending along a shaft axis. A locking member operatively engages an abutment surface of the clamping shaft. The shaft axis does not intersect the pocket support surface, and the clamping shaft has a non-circular shape in a cross-section taken perpendicular to the shaft axis. The tool holder is configured to direct a clamping force towards, and clamp a cutting insert against, the pocket support surface.
