DEVICE FOR AXIAL DISPLACEMENT OF A HOLE SAW FOR A HAND-HELD DRILL
A device is for an axial displacement of a hole saw for a hand-held drill, wherein the hole saw is coupled to the drill by a drive shaft, and the hole saw and an actuator are rotatably connected and positioned in a housing with a coupling for the drill. The actuator has an outer threaded portion which corresponds to an inner threaded portion in the housing so that the actuator and the hole saw are displaced axially along the drive shaft when the actuator rotates relative to the housing. The actuator is connected to the drive shaft via a slip clutch arranged to transfer and reduce a reduced torque from the drive shaft to the actuator.
SMART ELECTRIC POWER TOOL AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A smart power tool includes: an output shaft, an electric motor, a housing, and an adjustment assembly. The adjustment assembly is used for adjusting a working mode and outputting a mode signal. The working mode includes a drill gear mode and a wood screw mode. In the drill gear mode, a working state of the smart power tool is determined according to a set of current variables and/or a set of feature quantities and a type of a drill bit and, when the smart power tool is in a drill-through state, the electric motor is controlled to stop rotating.
MAGNETIC DRILL PRESS
A drill press has a main housing, a drill unit supported by the main housing for relative movement therewith, and a base coupled to the main housing, the base includes a magnet assembly to create a magnetic field for magnetically latching the base to a workpiece. The magnet assembly is rotatably attached to the base and includes a shaft and at least one permanent magnet disposed on the shaft. The shaft is rotatable between a first position where the base would not magnetically engage the workpiece and a second position where the base would engage the workpiece. An auxiliary handle is pivotably attached to the main housing and movable from a first handle position preventing removal of a power tool battery pack from the main housing and a second handle position allowing removal of the power tool battery pack from the main housing.
Line trimmer/mower with twist grip throttle control
A twist grip throttle assembly and weed trimmer utilizing the same are described herein. The weed trimmer has a power head on an upper end of a drive shaft assembly. The power head has a power provider, such as a gas powered motor. A base assembly with a cutter head for receiving wrapped cord is on a lower end of the drive shaft assembly. A throttle activator includes a tubular member rotationally mounted on the drive shaft assembly. The tubular member defines a gripping area. Twisting rotation of the throttle activator adjusts an amount of power produced by said power provider.
Debris Collecting System
A debris collection system for use in cutting or drilling holes in a ceiling with a hole saw. The debris collection system allows a user to avoid or limit exposure to dust and debris created by cutting or drilling overhead holes in drywall or wood. A clear rigid debris shield is temporarily attachable to the ceiling so that the user does not have to hold it in place while operating the hole saw. The hole saw is operably contained within a debris collection chamber defined within the debris shield when in use. A vacuum hose connects to a vacuum port in a cylindrical sidewall of the debris shield at one end and is attachable to a portable vacuum at an opposite end to create suction and remove debris from the debris collection chamber. A hose hanger is attachable to the ceiling between the debris shield and the portable vacuum to support the vacuum hose and keep it out of the way.
Railroad Track Rail Drill
A rail drill drive train can include a common drive end between a single drive motor and a common gear. A speed train end can extend from the common gear to rotate the drill spindle. A feed train end can independently extend from the common gear to advance and retract the drill spindle. The speed train end can include a sprag gear so that, without unmeshing any gears, the drill spindle is not unnecessarily rotated in the reverse direction when the drive motor is reversed to retract the drill spindle. A rail drill control circuit and related sensors can enable automatic operation throughout the complete drilling cycle without any manual input from the user other than starting the cycle. Such a fully automatic drilling cycle can minimize overall cycle time to preserve battery life and can free the user to perform other tasks between drill moving and clamping operations.
COLLET
A chuck for use with a rotary power tool having an output spindle. The chuck includes a base and an inner sleeve threadedly coupled to the base. The inner sleeve has a central aperture. A collet is disposed within the central aperture of the inner sleeve and configured to be engaged by a portion of the inner sleeve to be tightened or untightened. The chuck further includes an outer sleeve surrounding the inner sleeve, and a detent member disposed between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve. The detent member is coupled for co-rotation with the outer sleeve and configured to selectively transmit torque from the outer sleeve to the inner sleeve. When the collet is tightened, rotation of the outer sleeve causes axial displacement of the detent member relative to the inner sleeve as the outer sleeve and the detent member rotate relative to the inner sleeve.
Power tool communication system
A power tool communication system including an external device including a first controller configured to transmit, via wireless communication to a power tool, configuration data including a work light duration parameter value and a work light brightness parameter value. The power tool includes a housing, a brushless direct current (DC) motor, a trigger, a work light, a wireless communication circuit configured to wirelessly communicate with the external device to receive the configuration data, and a second controller configured to control a work light duration of the work light based on the work light duration parameter value, and control a work light brightness of the work light based on the work light brightness parameter value.
Drilling tool
A drilling tool includes: a drive source; a bit attachment portion to which an end bit is attachable; a power transmission portion configured to apply a motive force to the end bit attached to the bit attachment portion; an operation portion switchable between an ON-state and an OFF-state by a manual operation and configured to receive a setting operation for setting a stop condition; and a controller configured to set the stop condition based on the setting operation, and to start driving of the drive source in response to a first switching operation for switching the operation portion from the OFF-state to the ON-state. In a state where the stop condition is set, even when the operation portion is in the ON-state, the controller stops driving of the drive source in response to the stop condition being met while the drive source is being driven.
RELEASE SYSTEM AND CUTTING PROFILE APPLIED TO DISPOSABLE SELF-LOCKING INTRACRANIAL DRILL BIT
Release System and Cutting Profile applied to disposable self-locking intracranial drill bit, comprising a disposable cranial drill bit, for single-use, assembled from a coupling mechanism with an internal drill bit and another external one, where an axial load is applied to the cutting edges to transmit the rotary movement to the device, so that, after accessing the cranial bone the mechanism is released and the drill bit ceases its movement, being the coupling mechanism composed by a mechanical arrangement of two sliding helical cams, which interact with a ring, the geometry of which results in coupling, when the drill bit contacts the cranial bone surface, and the drill bit release, once the internal drill bit crossed the bone without affecting the lower cranial layers. The set is encapsulated in a plastic body, which allows the drill bit assembly in a number of craniotomy equipment.
