A horizontal sawing machine includes a support unit, a driving unit, and a sawing unit. The support unit has a slide rail base with two oppositely disposed stationary slide rails. The driving unit has a driving motor, a reducing gear box, and two oppositely disposed movable slide rails. The reducing gear box is connected to the driving motor and has an output shaft. The movable slide rails are provided on the outer periphery of the reducing gear box and are respectively engaged with the stationary slide rails to enable forward and backward movement of the driving unit with respect to the support unit. The sawing unit has a saw blade and a saw blade mount connected between the bottom end of the output shaft and the saw blade so that the saw blade is rotatable by and movable forward and backward along with the driving unit to facilitate operation.

A component according to the disclosure may include a body having an aperture therein for receiving one of a turbomachine shaft or a lathe chuck, wherein in response to the body being coupled to the lathe chuck, the aperture is oriented substantially axially relative to an axis of rotation of the body with the lathe chuck; and a flange coupled to and in direct axial contact with the body, the flange including a surface that extends axially relative to the axis of rotation of the body, wherein the surface of the flange comprises a matingly engageable face configured to contact an axially aligned surface during operation of the component and having a sanding indentation thereon, wherein a surface roughness of the surface of the flange is less than a surface roughness of a remainder of the component.

A ring cutter for transecting a ring trapped on an appendage. The ring cutter includes a body, a motor housed in the body, a blade drivingly connected to the motor, a guard coupled to the body, a guard actuator drivingly connected to the guard and controlling a movement of the guard, a current sensor positioned to sense electrical current associated with the motor, and a processor communicatively coupled to the current sensor and the guard actuator. The blade has a rotation axis and a peripheral cutting edge. The guard is insertable between the ring and the appendage to position the ring between the guard and the blade. The processor is configured to: i) receive, from the current sensor, an electrical current reading associated with the motor, and ii) transmit, to the guard actuator, one or more commands to control the movement of the guard based on the electrical current reading.

An emergency evacuation tool that is configured to be mounted within an operator cab of heavy equipment wherein the tool of the present invention is operable to facilitate evacuation of the cab by cutting through the safety cage surroundably present thereto. The present invention includes a housing having a motor and a power supply disposed in the interior volume thereof. A blade is present on one end of the housing wherein the blade is adjustable and axially aligned with the housing. The blade is surroundably mounted by a blade guard housing. The lower edge of the blade guard housing provides stabilization during use. A spark receiving member is secured to the blade guard housing. The emergency evacuation tool is releasably secured to a mounting case that is electrically coupled to the heavy equipment. The housing includes at least one handle that is rotatable about the housing.

The trim-tool assembly further includes a tool cart mounted to the track and translatable along the track. The tool cart includes a process tool that performs a machining process on the workpiece at a fixed distance from the centerline of the track.

The saw blades are offset so that the cutting paths of the blades overlap. The saw blades may be positioned at the ends of telescoping arms that are coupled to a linearly movable frame. A single hydraulic unit moves the frame along a central rail. The frame is coupled to one or more cables and pulleys so that the travel of the telescopic arms is twice that of the frame.
