Zeroplay miter bar
A miter bar assembly (100), including: a top member (102) having: a top member opening (110) configured to permit a bottom member fastener (122) to pass through the top member; and a top member fastener feature (140) configured to immovably fix the top member directly to a panel; and a bottom member (104) positioned under the top member and having: a bottom member fastener feature (120) configured cooperate with the bottom member fastener and the top member opening to enable the bottom member to move laterally relative to the top member and to selectively immovably fix the bottom member to the top member. At least one of: a magnetic force urges the bottom member and the top member laterally apart; and relative longitudinal movement between the bottom member and the top member adjusts a lateral position of the bottom member relative to the top member.
ANGLE STOP
A system and method for operating an angle stop having a first body, a second body, and a connector arrangement with a work component. The method includes placing the work component on a workpiece surface of a workpiece, contacting the first body having a first workpiece contact surface with a workpiece side surface of the workpiece, contacting the second body having a work component contact surface with the work component, fixing the work component to the second body, and fixing an angle between the first body and the second body.
Apparatus and method for making internally finned pressure vessel
An apparatus for fabricating an internally finned pressure vessel includes a plurality of positioning discs, each of the positioning discs defining a plurality of circumferentially spaced slots extending radially into the positioning disc from a perimeter thereof, and one or more rods extending through the plurality of positioning discs, the plurality of positioning discs being held in axial alignment by the one or more rods. A method of fabricating the internally finned pressure vessel includes providing the apparatus, loading a plurality of fins into the slots of the positioning discs, inserting the apparatus containing the plurality of fins into a pressure vessel, attaching the plurality of fins to the pressure vessel by a brazing process, and removing the apparatus from the pressure vessel.
Drainage apparatus and cutting board system
A drainage apparatus and a reinforced cutting board system that resists warping and is adapted to collect, store, and manage fluids, liquids, or juices resulting from the use of a cutting board without reducing an effective cutting area of the cutting board's cutting surface, and an associated method for making the same. The drainage apparatus generally featuring a continuous lateral member, which can define a fluid channel. The drainage apparatus being capable of effectively collecting, storing, and managing fluids, liquids, or juices through the use of the fluid channel. The reinforced cutting board system generally featuring a cutting board body, a drainage apparatus, and a reinforcing system. The reinforcing system being capable of effectively resisting warping. The method of making the cutting board system generally comprising providing suitable material, forming a desired shape, and providing a drainage apparatus.
Workpiece Tools and Techniques
Workpiece tools and techniques are described. In one example, a workpiece tool includes different side panels that provide surfaces for workpiece alignment. Further, a workpiece tool includes apertures that can align with a work surface such as a welding table. An adjustable tool is also described that includes a tool body and a slidable member that is slidable relative to the tool body. The slidable member, for instance, represents a measurement tool that can be used to measure object dimensions. Further, the tool body includes different side panels that are arranged to enable a variety of different usage scenarios such as include different positions of the slidable member relative to an adjacent object and/or surface.
Tapered template guided system for a router
Tapered, stepped, or non-tapered router guide templates, and optionally combined template holder system, each template comprising: a base portion, a top portion, at least one of an exterior surface interconnecting the base portion and the top portion along an outer periphery of the template and an interior surface interconnecting the base portion and the top portion along an inner periphery of the template, wherein optionally one of the exterior surface and the interior surface may be continuously tapered between the base portion and the top portion, or stepped, and wherein the base portion is adapted for removable and adjustable interconnection with the template holder system.
Template guidance system for a router
Tapered, stepped, or non-tapered router guide templates, optionally combined template holder system, and optional tapered or non-tapered guide bearing on a readily-locatable and lockable shaft, each template comprising: a base portion, a top portion, at least one of an exterior surface interconnecting the base portion and the top portion along an outer periphery of the template and an interior surface interconnecting the base portion and the top portion along an inner periphery of the template, wherein optionally one of the exterior surface and the interior surface may be continuously tapered between the base portion and the top portion, or stepped, and wherein the base portion is adapted for removable and adjustable interconnection with the template holder system.
Method and apparatus for preparing mortise cuts with a pantograph router
Guide bearing stop for use in a template-guided system for routers, and more particularly to a device, system, and method, for facilitating efficient, easily repeatable, highly accurate router mortise cuts on workpieces using a pantograph-type router system. The guide bearing stop may be used with a readily adjustable template holder for holding a guide bearing stop to direct the mortise cut in a very exact manner, which is also readily adjustable and easily positioned and centered on the template holder. The guide bearing stop when used in conjunction with the router system allows for the rapid centering and rapid reproduction of varying sizes of exactly-sized and exactly-shaped mortise cuts across a variety of different workpieces.
Table saw
A table saw has a base assembly, a table assembly supported by the base assembly, the table assembly, and a saw assembly supported by at least one of the table assembly and the base assembly. The saw assembly has a saw blade extending through the table assembly. The base assembly has at least one foot having a substantially horizontal surface, a substantially vertical surface, and a curved surface disposed between the substantially horizontal surface and the substantially vertical surface. The substantially vertical surface is substantially coplanar with a surface of the table assembly so that the table saw can be disposed on the substantially vertical surface and the surface of the table assembly.
Portable press and method of using same
A portable press is usable with parts that are assembled by interference fit or friction fit. A force application member slidably engages a plurality of guides. An actuator, such as a pneumatic or hydraulic jack or cylinder, applies force to the force application member to move the force application member toward a static plate. The force application member acts to either press in, or press out, a first part relative to a second part. The press of the invention is portable, so that the press can be moved to the mechanical structure requiring a press for removal or insertion of parts. The press may be constructed in a vertical or horizontal embodiment.
