A device for targeted repair of micro-nano damage of an inner ring of an aeroengine bearing by an electric-magnetic composite field includes a driving device, an ultrasonic shot peening device, a pulsed current generator and a magnet yoke-coil device. The driving device includes a motor and a rotating shaft. The motor drives the rotating shaft to drive a bearing inner ring to synchronously rotate. The ultrasonic shot peening device includes an ultrasonic shot peening cavity, an ultrasonic probe and steel balls, the ultrasonic probe extends into the cavity from an opening in a lower end of the cavity, and the steel balls are placed on the ultrasonic probe. An opening in an upper end of the cavity is placed below the bearing inner ring. The pulsed current generator generates pulsed current on the bearing inner ring. The magnet yoke-coil device can excite a magnetic field around the bearing inner ring.

According to an aspect of the disclosure, there may be provided a peening apparatus for generating a compressive residual stress on a pipe member including at least one curved round portion and having a hollow inside formed therein in which a first fluid and a second fluid, which is in a gas phase, are accommodated, the apparatus including: a probe which is disposed such that it is submerged in the first fluid supplied to the hollow inside, and which is configured to apply a wave to the first fluid, wherein the first fluid and the second fluid have different acoustic impedances, so that the wave is totally reflected on a reflection surface where the first fluid and the second fluid are in contact, and forms a standing wave, and wherein a cavity generated and grown by the formed standing wave is exploded and emits a shock wave or microjet, which generates a compressive residual stress on the inner surface of the pipe member surrounding the hollow inside.

A method for regulating the flow of media that provides a valve having a first pole piece and a second pole piece that are separated by a working gap through which media may flow. A coil generates a second magnetic field when electrical current is passed through the coil and that second magnetic field is capable of opposing the first magnetic field. The current in the coil is set at a first level that corresponds to a desired low rate of media through the working gap. The actual flow rate that results from the first duty cycle of current in the coil is compared to a desired flow rate and the current can be adjusted if the actual flow rate is different than the desired flow rate.

High pressure pump systems with reduced pressure ripple for use with waterjet systems and other systems are described herein. A pump system configured in accordance with a particular embodiment includes four reciprocating members operably coupled to a crankshaft at 90 degree phase angles. The reciprocating members can include plungers operably disposed in corresponding cylinders and configured to compress fluid (e.g., water) in the cylinders to pressures suitable for waterjet processing, such as pressures exceeding 30,000 psi.
