MODULAR VISE

A vise having a modular construction that allows for ease of manufacture, assembly, and changeover or replacement of wear items, such as gripping surfaces of jaws of the vise. The modular construction also provides for reduced weight of the vise compared to conventional cast type vises. The vise also incorporates quick adjustment features allowing for the vise to be easily rotated, a position and size of an opening of the jaws to be rapidly adjusted, and a clamping force applied with ease.

Portable press and method of using same

A portable press is usable with parts that are assembled by interference fit or friction fit. A force application member slidably engages a plurality of guides. An actuator, such as a pneumatic or hydraulic jack or cylinder, applies force to the force application member to move the force application member toward a static plate. The force application member acts to either press in, or press out, a first part relative to a second part. The press of the invention is portable, so that the press can be moved to the mechanical structure requiring a press for removal or insertion of parts. The press may be constructed in a vertical or horizontal embodiment.

Armorer tool system for assembly and servicing AR platform firearms

An armorer tool system for distributing the applied torque over a very wide surface, associated with assembling and disassembling primarily the barrel and the lower receiver extension of an AR platform firearms, independently of the specifications of their barrel extension, lower receiver and upper receiver external features, and magazine well geometry; and methods of using the tools are also disclosed.

Stator core support device, and method of supporting stator core

A stator core support device includes two support members that are radially opposed to a stator core such that a central axis of the stator core is interposed between the support members, and an inverting mechanism that inverts the two support members. Each of the support members has a radially opposed face that is radially opposed to the stator core, a first axially opposed face that is axially opposed to a first axial side of the stator core, and a second axially opposed face that is axially opposed to a second axial side of the stator core. While the inverting mechanism is inverting the two support members that hold the stator core, the stator core is moved in the axial direction relative to the two support members.

A fixture assembly may include a housing, a clamp assembly, and a drive mechanism. The clamp assembly may be movably mounted to the housing and may include a first clamp member and a second clamp member. The first and second clamp members may be linearly movable relative to the housing toward and away from each other. The drive mechanism may be coupled to the clamp assembly and the housing and may drive the clamp assembly relative to the housing such that the first clamp member moves linearly toward the second clamp member at a first speed in a first direction and the second clamp member moves linearly toward the first clamp member at a second speed in a second direction that is opposite the first direction. The first speed may be different than the second speed.

CLAMPING LINEAR ACTUATOR
20230173687 · 2023-06-08 ·

A linear actuator having a housing, a shaft having a proximate end attached to the housing and a distal end which moves relative to the housing, a first attachment point on one of the housing or the distal end of the shaft, a second attachment point connected to the other of the housing or the distal end of the shaft by way of one or more springs, and a motor that is operatively engaged with the shaft to drive movement of the shaft. The linear actuator may be connected within any desired mechanism with at least two parts that move relative to one another, such as a mechanical gripper, by connecting one part to the first attachment point and the other part to the second attachment point.

Vise with magnet
11253974 · 2022-02-22 · ·

A vise for securing a work piece is disclosed which includes a base. A first jaw piece and a second jaw piece can be disposed on the base, at least one of the first and second jaw pieces movable on the base such that the first and second jaw pieces are moveable toward and away from one another. A magnetic assembly can be positioned on the base and configured to produce a magnetic field that extends beyond the base to secure the vise to a magnetically permeable or ferromagnetic work surface. The magnetic assembly can be operable to alternate between an active mode and an inactive mode. The magnetic assembly can produce a magnetic field when the magnetic assembly is in the active mode to secure the vise to a magnetically permeable or ferromagnetic work surface.
