Multi-tool
A multi-tool includes a cylindrical body and a head extended from an end of the cylindrical body, the head to be pivoted between a first position with the head aligned with the cylindrical body and a second position with the head oriented at an angle to the cylindrical body, the head including a cradle to support a segment of a roller chain.
HEXALOBULAR FASTENER DRIVE TOOL WITH SHROUD
A fastener drive tool includes a hexalobular drive bit and a shroud concentrically disposed about the hexalobular drive bit. In addition, a fastener driving arrangement includes a screw fastener having a drive head with a cavity defined by a hexalobular sidewall. The fastener driving arrangement also includes a fastener drive tool including a hexalobular drive bit received in the cavity and a shroud received concentrically around the drive head of the screw fastener.
MULTIPLE-FUNCTION TOOL
A tool includes a first body, a rotary member, a positioning unit and an engaging unit. By the positioning unit and the engaging unit, the rotary member is positioned relative to the first body with dual-positioning feature. When the first body is rotated, the rotary member is positioned by the positioning unit and the engaging unit. The rotary member is not likely to freely rotate because both of the positioning unit and the engaging unit fail when using the tool.
FASTENER SYSTEM WITH STABILIZER RIBS
Fasteners, drivers, punches, fastener systems, and methods of making fasteners, drivers, punches, and fastener systems are disclosed herein. The fasteners, drivers, punches, and fastener systems include, in one example, stabilizing ribs and corresponding recesses.
WEAR RESISTANT TOOL BIT
A tool bit for driving a fastener includes a shank including a tool coupling portion configured to be coupled to a tool, a head portion configured to engage the fastener, and a nickel coating on the head portion. The head portion is composed of powdered metal (PM) steel having carbide particles distributed uniformly throughout the head portion.
DRIVE ELEMENT
The present invention relates to a drive element (8) which has an internal driving profile (9) that defines a profile axis (P.sub.I) and has, on its inner side, a plurality of concave drive faces (6) arranged in a manner distributed regularly around the profile axis (P.sub.I), between which a planar or convexly curved transitional faces (7a) are provided, or which has an external driving profile (9) that defines a profile axis (P.sub.A) and has, on its outer side, a plurality of concave drive faces (10) arranged in a manner distributed regularly around the profile axis (P.sub.A), between which planar of convexly curved transitional faces (7a) are provided.
Closure top driver depth limiter
An apparatus to limit a seating depth of a fastener can include a cylindrical housing, a pin, a driver, and a biasing element. The cylindrical housing can include a proximal portion couplable to a tool, a distal portion engageable with a workpiece, and a bore extending from an opening on the distal portion towards the proximal portion along a longitudinal axis of the housing. The pin can be secured to the housing and can extend radially inward into the bore. The driver can be translatable within the bore of the housing and can extend beyond the opening on the distal portion to engage the fastener. The driver can include a slot that can be engageable with the pin to receive a torque from the pin and can rotate with the housing to transfer the torque to a fastener when the pin engages the slot.
Anti-slip fastener remover tool
An anti-slip fastener remover tool includes a torque-tool body, a plurality of paired engagement features, and a plurality of intersection points. The plurality of paired engagement features that grips the lateral surface of the stripped fastener head is radially positioned around a rotation axis of the torque-tool body. The torque-tool body is inwardly extended from an outer wall of the torque-tool body to the plurality of paired engagement features. Each paired engagement feature is offset by 30 degrees, comprising a first engagement feature and a second engagement feature. The first engagement feature and the second engagement feature each comprise a bracing section, a cavity section, and a connector section. The cavity sections of the first and second engagement features are adjacently connected to each other. The bracing sections of the first and second engagement feature are oppositely positioned about the cavity sections of the first and second engagement features.
ANTI-SLIP HEX ALLEN TOOL
A hex headed bit and socket for enhanced non-slip application of torque force having a hex head with contoured fastener engagement surfaces. The contoured fastener engagement surface extends transversely in angular longitudinal inclination. Defined multiple engagement edges correspondingly embed themselves during rotational engagement within the so engaged fastener pulling the hex head bit into the engaged fastener imparting enhanced translateral points of tool engagement for extraction. Recessed areas on flat hexagonal free end tool portion defining alternate spaced pairs of parallel engagement edges.
Tool with Etched Tip and Related Method
A workpiece engaging surface that includes a pattern of laser-etched channels and related method of manufacturing is provided. The laser-etched pattern on the surface of the workpiece engaging surface is formed by multiple groupings of closely spaced channels that generate serrated teeth in the surface of the tip. Each grouping of channels is formed by passing a laser over a first location a first number of passes to form a first channel, passing a laser over a second location, spaced apart from the first location by a channel spacing distance, a second number of passes to form a second channel, and passing a laser over a third location, spaced apart from the second location by the channel spacing distance, a third number of passes to form a third channel. In some embodiments the first, second, and third number of passes are the same.
