Portable in-line hydraulic tool
A portable, hand held hydraulic cutting tool having an in-line handle assembly and a working head assembly. The handle assembly has a tool frame portion and a neck portion. The working head assembly has a pair of jaw members joined so that they are movable relative to each other and held in place by a locking pin. Each jaw member has a cutting blade attached thereto. Each jaw member can be tapered and can include weight reducing pockets defined in respective sidewalls. Each jaw member includes a raised tab on an outside edge that mates with a respective tab notch in a yoke of the neck portion of the handle assembly. When the locking pin is in an extended position, the jaw members of the tool can separate and rotate away from one another until their respective locking tabs engage their respective locking tab opening, connecting the jaw members to the yoke of the neck portion of the handle assembly.
HYDRAULIC UNIT FOR HYDRAULIC RESCUE TOOLS, AND RESCUE TOOL EQUIPPED THEREWITH
A portable, battery-powered hydraulic unit for hydraulic rescue tools, in particular for spreading or cutting tools, as well as a rescue tool equipped therewith, are disclosed. The hydraulic unit includes at least one hydraulic pump, a hydraulic tank, a compensation device for hydraulic fluid, a manually operated hydraulic control valve, an electromechanical interface for on-demand coupling and decoupling of at least one battery pack, a mechanical-hydraulic interface for connecting a hydraulic tool, and an electric motor operable by the electrical energy of the battery pack for driving the hydraulic pump. The electric motor is formed by a disc-shaped motor whose axial length extending in parallel to the longitudinal axis of its output shaft is shorter than its outer diameter.
Power tools for crimping or cutting objects and methods of assembly
Power tool for crimping or cutting and object, the tool having vents in the tool housing for enabling airflow wherein such vents have a partition member extending across them for restricting liquid water and dust ingress, and method of assembly. Power tool for crimping or cutting an object, the tool having a switch wherein the switch is provided on a support that is clamped between opposing tool housing portions for forming a seal to restrict the ingress of liquid water into the tool housing interior via the switch, and method of assembly. Power tool for crimping or cutting an object, the tool having an arrangement of light emitting elements directed towards an operative part of the tool for indicating operational information to a user without requiring the user to remove their gaze from the operative part of the tool in use.
