Utility knife
A utility knife and methods for using the same are disclosed. The utility knife includes a handle portion, a head unit attached to the handle portion, and a blade attached to the head unit. The handle portion is made of two parts jointed together by a hinged connection arrangement. A blade support component is also included which orients the blade in perpendicular relation to a central axis of the handle. The exemplary utility knife can safely be used in many applications with a design configured to help prevent user contact with the blade's cutting edge or edges.
Quick-change cutting blade assembly and method
A quick-change cutting assembly includes a base having a support surface for supporting a cutting blade, a clamping arm having a clamping surface, a spring interposed between the base and the clamping arm, and a pivot defining a pivot axis between the spring and the clamping surface that couples the clamping arm to the base. The spring biases the clamping surface toward the support surface and a cutting blade therebetween. The clamping arm is pivotable between a closed position where the clamping surface is parallel to the support surface and an open position removed from the closed position where the clamping surface is spaced further from the support surface. The cutting assembly further includes a locking pin transverse the direction of biasing action of the spring that connects the clamping arm to the base to prevent the clamping arm from pivoting relative to the base when in the closed position.
HANDHELD SAFETY KNIFE
A handheld safety knife is disclosed herein which comprises a removable blade cartridge installed into a handle having a cartridge recess. The cartridge recess retains the blade cartridge within the handle through one or more of the following: a contoured side wall matching that of the removable blade cartridge; a plurality of anti-rotation protrusions which are located in the cartridge recess; or a cartridge orientation feature which mates with a cavity located in the removable blade cartridge. When the blade becomes used, it may be removed and reoriented to access a fresh blade. During this blade exchange, the cartridge may be removed from the handle, but the blade is not exposed, thus yielding a safer design over that taught in the prior art.

POWER-ASSISTED FOLDING KNIFE
The present invention provides a power-assisted folding knife, including: a blade holder; a blade arranged in the blade holder; a handle rotatably connected to the blade holder; a locking mechanism for locking the blade holder in an unfolded position and/or a folded position; the power-assisted folding knife further includes a power-assisting mechanism connected to the blade holder and the handle, for providing assisting power when unfolding a power-assisted folding knife. The power-assisted folding knife in the present invention uses an assisting mechanism for providing assisting power when unfolding a folding knife, so as to facilitate easier unfolding of the folding knife and to allow single hand operation; the blade holder can be locked in an unfolded position and/or a folded position to ensure safe use of the power-assisted folding knife.
Handheld cutting tool variants
The handheld cutting tool variants disclose improvements to the handheld cutting tool of U.S. Pat. No. 11,426,888B1/application Ser. No. 17/704,935. The handheld cutting tool variants deploying a razor blade have enhanced cutting made possible by either modifying portions or eliminating portions of the blade holder nosing which in turn is made possible by deploying either one of two newly disclosed blade restraint mechanisms. As with application Ser. No. 17/704,935/U.S. Pat. No. 11,426,888-B1, the tool is comprised predominantly of a handle body, a blade holder assembly which serves to deploy and constrain a replaceable blade and a rotational control assembly actuated by the user that enables the blade holder to rotate between retracted and a plurality of extended positions.
CLIP FOR BAG PACKAGES
The present invention relates to a cutter clip for closing a bag package, said clip comprising: (a) a first arm having a clipping hook, at the front end, thereof; (b) a second arm, connected at its back side to the back side of said first arm, having a closing hook, at its front end, thereof, wherein said clipping hook closes on said closing hook, when said clip is in a closed position, for closing said bag package; (c) a cutting slot formed within said clip; and (d) a cutting blade, mounted within said cutting slot.

Knife with replaceable blade
A knife is provided that includes a replaceable blade element. The knife employs a blade carrier that is fixedly interconnected to or foldable with respect to a handle. The blade carrier selectively receives the replaceable blade element that is locked into the blade carrier by way of a blade release mechanism by biasing an associated spring that is further associated with a blade release button. The replaceable blade element is designed to be inserted within the blade carrier quickly, easily, and safely. The replaceable blade element may abut an internal guide surface during insertion.
