ROBOTIC CHOPSAW OR MERCHANDISER
The technology disclosed relates a robotic workstations and methods for cutting timber. The robotic saw workstation can achieve improved cutting of timber. In one configuration, the robotic saw workstation includes a robot manipulator capable of moving an end effector adapter plate to points in a three-dimensional work volume under programed control of a programmable robot controller executing stored instructions. A cutting head is affixed to the end effector adapter plate. The cutting head further includes a support structure; a rotatable shaft; a blade coupled to the rotatable shaft; and a motor coupled to the rotatable shaft for driving the blade. Configurations include multiple manipulators disposed to make multiple cuts in a log substantially contemporaneously, cutting heads implementing circular, band or chain sawing mechanisms, continuous or batch-feeding of logs into and out of the workstations.
PORTABLE MACHINE HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEM
A portable machine health monitoring system, applied for diagnosing a machine in operation, includes an installation device and a portable monitoring box. The installation device includes a plurality of sensing assemblies and a plurality of connecting assemblies. Each of the plurality of sensing assemblies is connected with the corresponding connecting assembly. Each of the plurality of connecting assemblies mounts the corresponding sensing assembly in a non-destructive manner onto a detected position on the machine. Each of the plurality of sensing assemblies is used for detecting a motion signal at the corresponding detected position on the machine in operation. The portable monitoring box, connected with the installation device, includes an analysis module for receiving the motion signal and further for calculating a health status information according to the detected motion signal.
Bench top board scoring device
A bench top board scoring device is provided, having a frame having a first end and an opposite second end, a work area defined between the first and second ends, each end having at least one leg configured for contacting a substrate. A track is connected to the frame and extends between the first end and the second end, a carriage is slidably mounted to the track for travel between the first end and the second end, and an arm has an upper surface, a pivot end pivotally connected to the carriage, and an opposite knife mount end. A knife blade is mounted to the knife mount end. Additionally, the present device is constructed and arranged so that as the carriage is moved from the first end to the second end, wallboard samples placed in the work area and contacted by the knife blade receive a constant scoring force.
