Knife set-up gauge for cutter head of a wood shaper
A set-up gauge for precision alignment of the cutting knives in a cutter head. The set-up gauge utilizes a support bar extending laterally across the wood shaper. Also included is a bracket slidably secured to the support bar and a rod extending outwardly from the bracket, the rod further comprising first end and second ends. Further included is a magnetic disc secured to the second end of the rod, the magnetic disc for contact with a surface of the cutting knives to identify a common inset distance for each of the cutting knives relative to the guide fence.

Adjustable square
A stepwise and stepless adjustable square, including: a stock; a blade; a first alignment structure; a second alignment structure; a spring device; and a knob movable between a first position and a second position, wherein in the first position the first and second alignment structures at certain angles between the stock and the blade align and engage such that a force of the spring device is reduced compared to the force at angles where the first and second alignment structures do not align for stepwise adjustment, and wherein in the second position the second alignment structure is moved axially away from the first alignment structure, whereby the first and second alignment structures are separated from each other, and a first surface associated with the blade is brought into frictional engagement with a second surface associated with the stock for stepless adjustment.

KNIFE SHARPENING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus and method for its use employ a magnet assembly to securely hold a knife by its blade. Along with a carriage and angle adjustment assembly that set and control the sharpening angle of the knife relative to a sharpening surface, the apparatus provides for sharpening of knives such as double hollow ground reed scraping knives, and bevel reed scraping knives.

Setting Key for Plane Iron in Tenon Tapering Plane
A setting key for attaching a plane iron to a tapering plane at a specific desired tapering angle, the setting key comprising: a first edge shaped to fit into a setting key function slot with an opening along a circumference of a mortise of the tapering plane; and a second edge positioned opposite to the first edge, wherein when the setting key is inserted into the setting key function slot: the first edge is nested in the setting key function slot, and the second edge protrudes into and radially bisects the mortise of the tapering plane, such that the second edge provides a surface spaced from the mortise edge and positioned at an orientation that differs from a mortise longitudinal axis by the specific desired tapering angle to hold the plane iron so that it is configured to be attached to the tapering plane at the specific desired tapering angle.
