The embodiment provides a heat-sealing apparatus and a method of accurately controlling heat sealing temperature by measuring the temperature using a heat-sealing apparatus which heat-seals a pair of heat seal materials by nipping them between a pair of heating bodies. The method of heat-sealing includes mounting a cover material on the surface of at least one of the heating bodies to be in contact with the heat seal material, attaching a minute temperature sensor to the surface of the cover material on the side to be in contact with the heat seal material, and controlling temperature of welding face by the temperature detected by the minute temperature sensor, and an apparatus therefor.
Method of manufacturing a plastic tank with reinforcements
A method for producing a plastic tank having one or more reinforcements. The method includes forming at least one part of the tank wall with a semi-finished panel made of plastic having at least one outer layer composed of a first thermoplastic, forming a reinforcement for the tank wall with at least one fibre-reinforced structural component comprising a matrix composed of a second thermoplastic that is weldable to the first thermoplastic. The fibre-reinforced structural component is then applied to a predefined region of the at least one outer layer of the semi-finished panel. The fibre-reinforced structural component is then fused with the outer layer of the semi-finished panel by applying heat to the semi-finished panel and the applied fibre-reinforced structural component. The fused fibre-reinforced structural component and semi-finished panel is then formed into a final shape. Optionally, the formed component is then connected to at least one other part of the tank wall to form the complete tank wall.

A sealing element for sealing a package, the sealing element being configured for cooperation with an abutment for engaging the package for providing a seal to the package and a device for sealing a package, the sealing element includes a sealing element, an abutment and a base, wherein the sealing element is releasably supported by the base, and wherein at least one of the base and the abutment is moveably arranged for engagement with the package from opposing sides for providing a seal to the package.
METHOD FOR JOINING A FLUID CONDUIT AND A CONNECTION HUB
Method for joining a fluid conduit and a connection hub. There is provided a method for joining a fluid conduit 2 and a connection hub 7, wherein a fluid 2 conduit is provided having an at least partially transparent end section 1. Also provided is a connection hub 7 comprising a hub cavity 9 having a shape complementary to a shape of the end section of the fluid conduit 1. The end section of the fluid conduit 1 is at least partly introduced into the hub cavity 9 through an opening in the hub, wherein a contact interface between at least a lateral wall part of the end section 1 and a hub cavity 9 wall is established. The method includes heating a target zone 27 in the contact interface, for joining the fluid conduit 2 and the connection hub 7 at the target zone 27, by directing a light beam 29 across the at least partially transparent end section 1 of the fluid conduit 2 from a side of the fluid conduit 2 which is opposite a side of the target zone 27.
Welding Apparatus
A welding apparatus (1) for radio-frequency, RF, welding, comprises: a clamp (10) having two electrodes (100, 101; 100′, 101′) being movable with respect to one another for clamping one or more items (2; 2′) therebetween for a welding process; and an RF power supply (11) for providing an RF welding current to the electrodes (100, 101; 100′, 101′) of the clamp (10), the RF power supply being adapted to change the frequency of the RF welding current during the welding process.
CONTROLLING A FLUID FLOW
A biopharmaceutical flow port, a biopharmaceutical liquid container assembly, and a method for manufacturing the biopharmaceutical flow port and the biopharmaceutical liquid container assembly are described. The biopharmaceutical flow port includes a hose barb coupled to an elliptic body. The hose barb includes a bore. The elliptic body includes a flow passage, a first edge, and a second edge. The flow passage is fluidly coupled to the bore. The first edge extends from the elliptic body away from the flow passage in a first direction and the second edge extends from the elliptic body away from the flow passage in a second direction opposite the first direction. The biopharmaceutical liquid container assembly includes a biopharmaceutical liquid container with an opening and the biopharmaceutical flow port coupled to the biopharmaceutical liquid container within the opening and in fluid communication with a volume of the biopharmaceutical liquid container.
STRAP WELDING SYSTEM AND METHOD
Strap welding system and method for welding two ends or sections of a strap around a bundle of articles or around a pressed bale. The strap welding system has a weld assembly for frictionally welding two ends of a plastic strap around a pressed bale. The weld assembly has a weld head with an upper weld jaw and a lower weld jaw, and wherein the lower weld jaw is supported, directly or indirectly, by a spring. A connecting piece for moving the lower weld jaw can optionally have a section with a connecting spring.
Screen protector application system
Systems and apparatus for protecting a mobile device. The system includes a screen protector configured to be applied to a screen of the mobile device. The system also includes a cap configured to receive an end of the mobile device and prevent movement of the mobile device relative to the screen protector. The system also includes a pivot strip connecting the cap and the screen protector and being configured to facilitate a pivoting of the screen protector relative to the cap and establish alignment of the screen protector with the screen of the mobile device.
DOUBLE VACUUM AND POSITIVE PRESSURE FOR PASTE BOND JOINTS
A method eliminates voids in the bond line and manipulates a thickness of the bond line. This method includes: applying an adhesive at a center of an area of a structure; placing a doubler on the adhesive over the area of the structure, wherein the doubler has a peripheral edge; and maintaining a negative pressure at the peripheral edge of the doubler while simultaneously maintaining a positive pressure at the doubler to purge entrapped gases and control a thickness of the bond line at the peripheral edge of the doubler.
Process for constructing lightning strike protection for adhesively bonded graphite composite joints
A bonded joint for use in bonding composite materials is provided and includes a composite rib having electrically conductive properties and a composite structure having electrically conductive properties. An electrically conductive preform is provided that facilitates a bond between the composite rib and the composite structure. A mesh composition that bonds the composite rib to the preform and that bonds the preform to the composite structure is provided and is electrically conductive to conduct current between the composite rib and the composite structure.
