The present invention relates to an encapsulated phase-change material (1) comprising a phase-change material (3) contained within a tube (5), said tube (5) being made of plastic and that it has a sealing weld (9) at least at one of its ends.
FLUIDIC ACTUATOR MANUFACTURING METHOD
A method of constructing an inflatable fluidic actuator. The method includes coupling a first interface to a tube configuration of membrane material at a first tube end by coupling the first interface to the tube configuration at the first tube end by generating at least one of: a first bond between the membrane material and one or more first sidewalls of the first interface and a first external face bond between membrane material at the first tube end onto a first external face of the first interface.
Blow molding method, composite preform, composite container, inner label member, and plastic member
First, a composite preform 70 including a preform 10a and a plastic member 40a in close contact with the outer surface of the preform 10a is made by preparing the preform 10a made of plastic material and arranging the plastic member 40a to surround the outer surface of the preform 10a. Subsequently, the composite preform 70 is heated and inserted in a blow molding die 50 and undergoes blow molding in the blow molding die 50, by which the preform 10a and the plastic member 40a of the composite preform 70 are inflated integrally and a composite container 10A is obtained.
EYEGLASS LENS, COMPOSITION FOR PRIMER LAYER FORMATION, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING EYEGLASS LENS
This eyeglass lens is outstanding in anti-crazing properties, impact resistance properties, and adhesion. The present invention comprises: a lens substrate; a primer layer disposed on the lens substrate; and at least one layer that is disposed on the primer layer and that is selected from the group consisting of a hard-coat layer and a reflection-preventing layer. The primer layer contains a polycarbonate-based polyurethane resin and inorganic oxide particles. The tensile strength of the polycarbonate-based polyurethane resin is over 40 N/mm.sup.2. The expansion rate of the polycarbonate-based polyurethane resin is at least 300%, and the inorganic oxide particle content is 10-40% by volume with respect to the total volume of the primer layer.
Fluidic actuator manufacturing method
A method of constructing an inflatable fluidic actuator that includes generating a tube configuration with one or more shapes of fluid-impermeable membrane material, the tube configuration having a first tube end and a second tube end and an internal tube face and an external tube face. The method also includes coupling a first and second interface to the tube configuration at the first and second tube ends by respectively coupling each interface to the tube configuration at a respective tube end by generating at least one of: a first circumferential bond between the fluid-impermeable membrane material and one or more sidewalls of the interface; and an external face bond between fluid-impermeable membrane material at the tube end onto an external face of the interface.
DECORATIVE SHEET AND DECORATIVE RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE
The present invention provides a decorative sheet which is provided with a relief pattern in the outer surface, while having excellent chemical resistance, wherein the relief pattern is suitably maintained even after molding. A decorative sheet which is provided with a relief pattern in the outer surface, while sequentially having, from the outer side, at least a first protective layer that constitutes the relief pattern and a second protective layer. The first protective layer is formed of a cured product of a resin composition that contains an ionizing radiation curable resin and a thermoplastic resin; and the second protective layer is formed of a cured product of an ionizing radiation curable resin composition that contains a polycarbonate (meth)acrylate.
Blow molding method, composite preform, composite container, inner label member, and plastic member
A composite preform including a preform and a plastic member in close contact with the outer surface of the preform is made by preparing the preform made of plastic material and arranging the plastic member to surround the outer surface of the preform. Subsequently, the composite preform is heated and inserted in a blow molding die and undergoes blow molding in the blow molding die, by which the preform and the plastic member of the composite preform are inflated integrally and a composite container is obtained.
FUNCTIONAL SHEET INCLUDING POLYESTER RESIN, AND LENS USING FUNCTIONAL SHEET
The present invention provides a functional sheet including a functional layer provided between protective layers. The functional layer is a polarizing film layer, a photochromic layer, or a combination of the polarizing film layer and the photochromic layer. At least one of the protective layers includes a layer formed of a resin (C) containing a polyester resin (A) obtained as a result of polycondensation of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid and an aromatic polycarbonate resin (B), the polyester resin (A) being contained at a content of 10 to 100 parts by mass and the aromatic polycarbonate resin (B) being contained at a content of 0 to 90 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass as a total of the polyester resin (A) and the aromatic polycarbonate resin (B). A lens is provided with such a functional sheet.
BROAD BAND RADOME FOR MICROWAVE ANTENNA
A radome for an antenna is provided as a composite of an isotropic outer layer and a structural layer of foamed polymer material. The composite is dimensioned to enclose an open end of the antenna. The radome may be retained upon the antenna by a retaining element and fasteners. The outer layer may be a polymer material with a water resistant characteristic. The structural layer may project inward and/or outward with respect to a plane of the seating surface of the radome.
