A method for making an object (2) from plastic material, having a wall (21) and a through hole (22) formed in the wall (21), comprises the following steps: preparing a dose (20) of extruded plastic material; preparing a mould (1), having a first half mould (11) and a second half mould (12), mutually movable along a longitudinal axis (A1), wherein the first half mould (11) includes a body (111) and a plunger (112), the plunger (112) being movable relative to the body (111) between a retracted position and an advanced position; positioning the dose (20); closing the mould (1) to form a closed moulding space (V); moving the plunger (112) from the retracted position to the advanced position to squeeze the dose (20) so that the plastic material is forced to occupy the moulding space (V).

Hollow article molding method and molding apparatus and hollow article

A hollow article is molded in a state where an inner surface of a neck portion including an inner screw portion is held by an inner neck mold, and then, the hollow article is demolded from the inner neck mold by inserting an ejection rod into the hollow article to be engaged with an inner surface of the hollow article and rotating the hollow article together with the ejection rod.

MOLD AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FOR FIBER-REINFORCED POLYMERIC SPRINKLER HEAD PART

An injection mold for producing a sprinkler head part and related injection molding methods are described. The sprinkler head part includes a first, second, third and fourth mold portions. The first and second mold portions include first and second shaping elements structured to cooperatively form a body including a substantially cylindrical portion and a substantially planar portion, and two frame arms extending from the substantially planar portion of the body. The third mold portion includes a shaping element structured to form an orifice in the body of the sprinkler head. The fourth mold portion includes a shaping element structured to form a cross member connecting the two frame arms. The injection methods include injecting a composite material in molten form into the mold to form the molded sprinkler head part. The composite material includes thermoplastic polymeric resin and a plurality of reinforcing fibers dispersed in the resin.

Molding system with movable split mold inserts

Disclosed herein, amongst other things, is, a stripper assembly operable to eject a molded article from a mold that includes slides that are movable laterally relative to each, a first split mold insert inter-connected to a first slide and a second split mold insert inter-connected to a second slide. The system being operable such that when the first and second slides are in the closed position, the first and second split mold inserts form at least a portion of the molding cavity; the system being operable such that such during operation of the injection molding system, the first split mold insert is movable relative to the respective first slide and the second split mold insert being movable relative to the second slide.

SYNTHETIC RESIN BLOW MOLDED BOTTLE

In a synthetic resin blow molded bottle, reduced pressure absorbing panel portions and column portions are formed alternately in the circumferential direction. Each column portion has a diameter that gradually increases downward and that remains substantially constant vertically. Each reduced pressure absorbing panel portion includes a pair of panel side edge portions, which is bent to the inner side from the adjacent column portions, a panel surface portion, which connects the pair of panel side edge portions, and a panel lower edge portion, which is bent to the outer side from a lower end edge of the panel surface portion. The panel surface portion of each reduced pressure absorbing panel portion includes a panel upper-side surface portion, whose diameter gradually increases downward, and a panel lower-side surface portion, which connects the panel upper-side surface portion and the panel lower edge portion and which has a substantially constant diameter vertically.

CONTAINER COMPRISING A SUPPORT RING

A bung closure for gas-tight and liquid-tight closure of a bung opening of a container, includes a cup-shaped basic body made from metal and having a disk-shaped base and an adjoining, upwardly open, tubular ring part; at least one interlocking element in the form of a shaped sheet-metal strip or a tab provided within the cup-shaped basic body for engagement with a screwing tool for screwing the bung closure into, and out of the bung opening of the container; and a stable plastics layer provided on the outer side of the ring part, with an external thread formed on an outside of the plastics layer for threaded engagement with the internal thread of the bung opening.

HYBRID POLYMER LOWER RECEIVERS FOR FIREARMS AND METAL THREADED INSERTS, KITS AND METHODS THEREFOR
20170219305 · 2017-08-03 ·

Threaded metal inserts for polymer lower receivers and hybrid polymer lower receivers comprising one or more of such inserts, as well as kits and methods therefor are disclosed. A threaded metal insert has a substantially circular aperture configured with screw threads to releasably yet connectively interface with a separate traditionally threaded firearm component such as a buffer tube or a pistol grip screw. Inserts can be any overall shape so long as it can be integrally embedded within a traditionally threaded portion of a polymer lower receiver in a way that does not interfere with normal operation of an assembled firearm and leaves exposed the internal threading of the insert. Inserts can also comprise textural features on the exterior surface configured to permanently interface with and embed the an insert into molded polymer. A hybrid polymer and metal lower receiver is a stripped polymer lower receiver for an AR type firearm, such as the AR-15 or AR-10, having one or more such threaded metal inserts at least partially embedded in a portion thereof.
