Highly-filled polyurethane composites with fiber reinforcement

Composite panels and methods of preparation are described herein. In some embodiments, the composite panel can include a first fiber reinforcement, a polyurethane composite having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, wherein the first surface is in contact with the first fiber reinforcement; and a cementitious material adjacent the first fiber reinforcement opposite the polyurethane composite. The polyurethane composite can be formed from (i) one or more isocyanates selected from the group consisting of diisocyanates, polyisocyanates, and mixtures thereof, (ii) one or more polyols, and (iii) a particulate filler. The fiber reinforcement can be formed from a woven or non-woven material, such as glass fibers. The composite panel can further include a material, such as a second fiber reinforcement and a cementitious layer, in contact with the second surface of the polyurethane composite. Articles comprising the composite panels are also disclosed.

Semi-rigid display board

A display board has a foam core with elastomeric properties with a first display layer affixed on one side and optionally a second display layer affixed on a second side. The elastic foam core can have a closed cell structure and be made from a thermoplastic. The display layers can be heat welded directly to the respective sides of the core with or without additional use of adhesive or the layers can be attached via adhesive only and not heat. The foam core has a Shore 00 hardness of 20-100.

Luminous curved glass and curved digital signage

The present invention aims to provide a luminescent curved glass which, despite being curved with a small radius of curvature, can provide a clear display on its entire surface when irradiated with light, and curved digital signage including the luminescent curved glass. Provided is a luminescent curved glass including a laminate including a transparent plate having a radius of curvature of 3,000 mm or lower and a luminescent sheet, the luminescent sheet containing a thermoplastic resin and a luminescent material that emits visible light having a wavelength of 380 to 750 nm under excitation light.

MULTILAYER TOP FILM FOR RETROREFLECTIVE ARTICLES

The present application generally relates to top films comprising a semi-crystalline core polymeric layer sandwiched by two amorphous skin layers, one on each side of the core polymeric layer. In preferred embodiments, an acrylic layer adjacent one of the amorphous skin layers is present as an outermost layer. The present application is also directed to retroreflective articles comprising such top films.

Print board capable of being separated into pieces after printing thereon
11511517 · 2022-11-29 · ·

A print board capable of being printed on and then separated into one or more pieces. The print board includes a main layer, a printable layer secured to a first side of the main layer and a pressure sensitive layer secured to a second side of the main layer. The print board is kiss cut through the printable layer, the main layer and a releasable portion of the pressure sensitive layer to form the one or more pieces. A base layer of the pressure sensitive layer holds the one or more pieces together so that personalized projects may be printed thereon. The personalized projects are printed on the printable layer and then the base layer of the pressure sensitive layer is removed. After the base layer is removed the print board is broken into the one or more pieces.

Dual pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for instore signage

A tandem system of metering and donor rolls is used to apply two different adhesives to a fully adhesive backed multilayer sheet to produce variably distributed adhesives and properties. Each of the two adhesives is unique and is cured differently to create a layer of adhesive that has differing adhesive properties on the sheet. A clear adhesive is applied to a top portion of cards before they are cut from the sheet and has a higher tackiness than the adhesive applied to the rest of the cards on the sheet in order to reduce glue buildup on blades cutting the cards from the sheet.

Adhesive-backed wall, floor, and window graphics and installation method

An adhesive-backed floor, wall, or window graphic adapted for installation on a floor, wall, or window, is provided that includes a printed flexible substrate, an adhesive located on a back of the printed flexible substrate, and a back liner system. The back liner system, at least for the adhesive-backed wall and window graphic, includes removable liner dots at least in two upper corners of the adhesive-backed window graphic and in a medial location of the adhesive-backed window graphic, a center removable liner strip that is oriented vertically in an installation orientation of the adhesive-backed window graphic, and a plurality of side removable liner strips located on both sides of the center removable liner strip. An installation method using the adhesive-backed floor, wall, or window graphic is also provided that provides for easier installation with professional results.

COMPOSITE LAMINATE CARDS OF FINITE SIZE, TAPERED COMPOSITE LAMINATE STRUCTURES FORMED FROM THE SAME, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING AND USING THE SAME

Described are various dual-tapered composite laminate structures. These structures may comprise a plurality of finite sub-laminate cards, each one of the plurality of cards having the same shape and size as the other ones of the plurality of cards and having opposing surfaces oriented in a card plane, opposing primary edges of the planar surfaces, and opposing secondary edges of the planar surfaces, the opposing secondary edges being perpendicular to the opposing primary edges. The finite sub-laminate cards are tacked relative to one another in a successively offset manner. Also described are methods of stacking and sliding (for offset) the finite sub-laminate cards. Tapered fuselage skin and fuel tank covers are also considered.
