A protective document cover is disclosed. The protective document cover includes a clear protective sheet that may be affixed to the front and/or back surface of a document, such as a vaccination card, via an adhesive. Micro-perforations in the sheet define one or more non-adhesive tear away covers that are dimensioned and positioned to overly updateable field(s) of the document to allow the tear away cover(s) to be removed from the protective cover and document and allow updating of the field(s) on the document. Removal of the tear away cover(s) allow a healthcare provider to record additional information to update the card. Pressure sensitive replacement covers, with permanent adhesive, of the same size as the tear away covers are provided to permanently protect the areas where additional information has been recorded. The protective replacement cover(s), once applied to the card provide permanent protection to the updated area of the card.

A board book album having stiff pages constructed from layers of white board material and having “hidden pockets,” each pocket holding two photographs, back-to-back, that are framed in die cutout openings in each page. Spacers to which the backs of the spreads forming the pages are glued allow each page to accommodate the thickness of the photographs without damaging the outer binding. Each photograph is protected by a piece of clear plastic. Each page can have a small concave notch along its unbound edge in order to allow a user to turn the pages more easily. The cover can have a frame attached thereto for holding a photograph. The album is sturdy enough to be handled by a small child without the photographs being damaged.

A bound system including a plurality of pages and a cover/divider bound to the plurality of pages and having at least one free edge. The cover/divider includes a tab secured to a body of the cover/divider such that the tab is movable between an extended position wherein at least part of the tab protrudes beyond the free edge and a refracted position wherein the at least part of the tab does not protrude beyond the free edge. A method for providing a stack of book covers for production of finished books includes supplying a task stack of book covers having identical cover formats and stacked one above another in an unknown or known sequence. Each book cover in the task stack includes an identifier comprising cover information. The book covers are separated out and conveyed from the task stack as separate book covers in a sequence that does not change until a completion signal is transmitted. The separated out book covers are counted, an identifier on each separated out book cover is detected, and cover information is read out of the respective identifier stored. The separated out book covers are deposited on top of one another in the sequence in which they were separated out for forming a detected stack. An identifier is stored that identifies the detected stack together with the temporarily stored cover information.

A system of notebooks that are color-coded to relate to a particular class or subject. For example, a green notebook could relate to a Science class, a red notebook could relate to Math, etc. The notebooks are fashioned to employ different calligraphy. The system further includes control articles such as an agenda to track student progress using indicia and give rewards to the student for achieving predetermined milestones. The indicia correlates sections in the control article (agenda) with the notebooks or other items. Binding folder for binding a bundle of leaves, whereby this binding folder comprises a cover with a spine and two endpapers. In the spine a U-shaped profile from heat-conductive material is applied. The U-shaped profile comprises a base and upright arms. In the U-shaped profile a binding adhesive in the form of a hotmelt adhesive is applied. The U-shaped profile in the spine is applied by an assembly adhesive between the upright arms of the U-shaped profile and the spine of the cover. The assembly adhesive extends beyond the free edges of the upright arms and over these free edges.
